This question reminds me of the ads on the Citadel in ME2. Didn't one of them start off with some line about Shepard not earning any income for the prior year? ![]()
Does Shepard have to pay taxes?

I don't know about Shepard, but if I saved galactic civilization countless times, and still had to pay taxes, then I'd be seriously f**ked off.

Imagine having to explain to his accountant/the IRS where he gets all this money from/that he's been dead for two years.
"Well, you know that bombing on Illium? I MAY have taken some credits from some of the safes I found while I was there, and there was that one time I was digging through some guy's chairs, and I found 3,000 credits in the seat. Oh yeah, and that reminds me. . ."

I'm Commander Shepard and I saved the Galaxy 3 times. I don't need to pay taxes.

Nah. He just needed to give an endorsement, something about about "favorite bureaucracy on the Citadel." That or he slept with the auditor.

There's his tax statement right there.

"in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes" (said first by Daniel Defoe & later by Ben Franklin). Looks like that made it all the way to the other side of the galaxy.
Okay -- Shep died, so now he owes taxes.
....still wondering about this question
….do hanars really have T*Ts? (I happened to overhear a conversation with Liara and her "father" at the Presidium)

Shepard never has to file military paperwork either.
I think he's exempt from any of the boring stuff normal people would have to do in his position.
Sure she does, Shepard just has templates ready to save time.

True Paragons should be poor Shepards. Most of the money we earn in the games is stolen.
When you're in the military it's not 'stolen', it's 'commandeered'.

shep: Okay, let's see... Number of times shot: 4 7 12. Number of rounds fired: 240 320 560. Crap... EDI, we need to redesign some of these templates. I ... uhh... need a little more space for some of these.

When shep first visits the citadel in ME2 and gets flagged at security, just before meeting Bailey, the neutral dialogue option yields this line from shep: "Nah, I was only mostly dead. Try finding that option on government paperwork."
To me this says either: shep has tried to get out of paying her taxes already, or she is jedi-mind-tricking her way past the turian who really has no idea who he's up against.

It's a Princess Bride reference.
I know
Admittedly it's been a while since I watched Princess Bride, but it hasn't been that long.
