BSN has REALLY lost it's humor in the past year - 2 years.
Nothing to do with lack of humour. You can't tell whether it's serious or not unless you know the guy or not, in my case I have no freaking idea who he is so I thought he was serious

True. But it was kind of obvious. Especially since he also posted in that other demographic thread as well.
Although there is always that one guy that assumes just because a girl is talking to them that it means that girl likes them, but they don't out right say it.

I honestly feel like a lot of the people on the internet become so caught up in being right and/or showing their perspective, that they overlook humor completely.
It is hard to laugh when no one takes the bait though.

Girls bring drama, plain and simple. The only multiplayer games I play are MMOs and I've encountered many female gamers and have been in raiding guilds with many. Out of all the girl gamers I raided with, I can honestly say only two were truly great players, and even one of those two brought relationship drama with her.
A good portion of the girl gamers I've met were in leadership positions in guilds, either as the GM or a GM's girlfriend/wife and it's never ended well for the guild.
As for the study, it's "accurate" if you count mobile games at the same level as core gaming. It still doesn't mean that women are an important demographic in strategy gaming or FPS for example.
OK honest question
if your a woman and somehow fellow gamers find out how u look like, would u mind getting hit on constantly ?!!!
like players saying ur hot and they would "tap dat" and all that stuff??!!
cause in all honesty I was in LGBT guild in TESO and I had my real pic on profile and I was hammered with likes and winks 
I even had a former porn star drooling over me XD
and I have to say I found it GRATIFYING, is it different for women?!!!
