Of course I would, a lot of the people on my PSN FR list are girls. But seriously, why would I care? The gender of whoever I'm playing with is of least concern to me.

And men don't? In my experience men get far, far more emotional when you beat them because they get way more emotionally invested in the first place. Why do you think all these CoD gamers have such horrible temper?

I'm not a woman but I think it depends on what kind of people are hitting on you. It's a bit of a duality here.

 

Lets be honest, when someone is hitting on you, it's a compliment. We know this, women know this too. So of course we feel flattered when someone is hitting on us, women feel that way too. But if the guy/girl hitting on you is a loser or just a f*cking weirdo of course you're gonna be turned off by it as well.

 

We all want to get hit on, we just don't want to get hit on by losers. I think that goes double for women. I'm pretty sure most women love the attention they get from men, it's just too bad that most online gaming men who hit on them are overweight and/or socially-awkward losers. Maybe it's different in the LGBT community, I wouldn't know (however I do notice that homosexual men in general tend to take a lot better care of themselves and their looks, and often are better-looking than the average heterosexual men).

I've seen far more drama and immaturity from male gamers then females. I've also seen guilds fare better when a female took over. You seem to just be taking some bad experiences and making it like this always happens.  That is false. .

 

Every single guild I was in during TBC WoW was run by a woman or a husband/wife combo where the woman did most of the actual day-to-day running of the guild. Only one of these guilds was decently successful, making it to BT at least. The 2 guilds I had been in prior fell apart because of sex with the GM basically. The BT guild was set back because of a love triangle (the GM wasn't involved this time) that cost us our main tank. In WotLK I had a particularly horrible female GM whose story I won't bore you with. After her I finally swore off ever being in a guild with a woman as GM.

 

Do guys cause drama? Sure, but I've never seen it at the level that women do. Women tend to be like the eye of a hurricane when it comes to drama; they cause so much collateral damage, enough to make guilds unviable, and come away from it mostly unscathed. When a guy causes drama the guy gets kicked. Men are easy to come by and disposable in MMOs. Women, on the other hand, are a status symbol for a lot of "casual raiding" guilds.

I've played world of warcraft way too much to have anything against female gamers. When I think about it the people I tend to game with are rather balanced though there is some differences. Now this is only my experience but what I've witnessed for myself is they're more males in player versus player while it's more balanced in raiding. When I think about my primary raid group it's around 60% to 50% male. However, when I think of my pvp crew it's more like 80% to 90% male depending on who's online and what we're doing.

 

The ladies in my guild just don't seem to get the same thrill of running down another player and beating them to death repeatedly the guys do.

 

Off Topic. Have you ever been playing a game then said something that made you feel like a hill billy or thug? I remember a few times.

 

Me, "Hey is that a dwarf down there?"

 

Friend, "I believe so."

 

Me, "Let's go kill it."

 

The moment I said that the image of a Hill Billy saying, "Let's shoot it." Just popped into my head. I felt quite silly. We still killed the dwarf.
