Cullen is awesome, the companions are awesome and we love you all for making the games we love.......THANKS.
Yeah, so if someone wants to put that in non psycho terms.
It's pretty much the sentiment I'd want to express.

Thanks for maintaining such a great relationship with the fandom and for making us all feel like we've been a part of the process. DA:I and the team that has worked so hard on it will always hold a special place in our hearts and memories, as will a certain Templar. (Just to be clear, I mean Cullen
.

Thank you so much for everything y'all have done! You are an awesome group of people for always thinking of your fans, even though I am sure it is a pain at times. It is amazing to think that a video game series could take up a large piece of my heart, and change my life and viewpoints. I have met some awesome people, real and pixelated, and I wouldn't give any of it up for the world! Thanks again, and enjoy the cake because for once it is not a lie. XD

OH yeah, we def need to thank them not only for Cullen, but for the way they interact with us. We're a zealous, excitable group. And they are so awesome to us.
Should we add some sort of special thanks to Allan for rushing in to help us so often? I feel like he gives us a lot of direct attention.

Shadowreign is still in. It will take her a little bit longer though. She wants to work on the draft in the next two weeks.

Should we post our individual postscript notes in this thread or make a new one?

I can't write pretty eloquent words, which kind of sucks... So just sign my name to whatever is written. And thank you for Cullen, he's a total BAMF. And Blackwall, too.

I also can't write pretty eloquent words, but I would like to thank them for DAI in general. I would also like to thank them for Cullen, and for Solas too.

I'm not really good with words either, but I would only like to thank them for all the hard work they've put in the game. ![]()

Just a thank you for all the hard work they have done with DAI --you can tell by the videos, dev comments, all the heart and soul and love that has gone into DAI. ![]()

I assume that all our names will be after this letter yeah? :3 I'm so exited to see it. have we decided how to send it?
Also, I have this little thing. Could it be mentioned that I did the art? (GiggleLam is fine as that leads to my tumblr and what not) Literally just a single sentence at the end or somewhere, I just have a constant fear that someone is always trying to claim my art lol
Also, this is being delivered in two weeks and it's super surreal for me. ![]()

I'm not sure now but I think we didn't want to write our names down and just sign the letter with "Cullenites". However, I don't think it would be a problem to write your (and Galas?) names down for the art.
Edit:
Added for clarification: I confused our names with the idea of having our avatars / pictures included... somewhere. It came up in the "Everybody loves cakes"-thread on page 2.
I think this might also be relevant for the letter. Personally, I would feel better if we just sign the letter with "Cullenites"instead of using our forum names. But glorious art should be an exception here and I think that you should be credited, Giggle
. We should ask Gala if she wants credits, too (that is if we chose her design for the third cake).
There is another reason why I don't like the idea of sending our pictures/photos/avatars - it's like we are showing off ourselves. We shift the focus from "thank you" to "look at how awesome we are". And I don't want Cullenites who missed this or couldn't participate for various reasons to be left out. I would prefer if we represented the whole group. It would also make it look like there are more of us than it really is!
And if we send a card, it would be better to sign it as #Cullenites, IMHO.
I'm not sure we can afford 3 big cakes. We still have no info on the prices. So I think it's better to count on one for now. Plus cookies. How many people are there on the team? 100? More? Does anyone know? We could try to calculate the size of the cake based on that.

YES, you must be credited for the art!

Absolutely. You need to be credited for the art, no question about it. ![]()

We all know who we are and I'd rather include all our amazing thread/group in the gift because whether or not they've added to the pot their contributions to the thread make the forums here a friendlier and better place to be.
Meh, I just love you guys to bits.

I absolutely agree that we should also sign it from the thread as a whole, but I think we should get to sign it individually as well. It's not like we're drawing attention to ourselves by doing so -- as far as I know, no one here uses their real name as their forum name, and if any of the team wants to say thanks I'm 100% sure they'll drop by the thread and thank the group as a whole no matter what we sign it -- and the people in here did contribute something the rest of the thread didn't.
I had also still really been hoping we'd each have the opportunity of writing a sentence or two to the team, like the Cupcakequisition did or like you would when passing around a card for an officemate who's leaving; I didn't put anything on the #IPlayBioware tag because I'd been saving my thoughts for that. If I'm the only one who wants that I understand, but it seemed like there were a few other people who also were interested in doing so.

I actually would not turn down the opportunity to include a personal thought. That said, I will happily go along with whatever the majority wishes. ![]()

No need to credit me for the sword brush, it's BioWare's design
GiggleLam should totally be credited for her adorable work ![]()
I still think it would be better to sign the card as a group. I'm sure there are Cullenites who wanted to participate, but couldn't, and I don't want them to feel excluded if we put our nicknames on the card. Also if we don't specify how many of us are in it, BioWare may think there's more of us, and make a DLC about Cullen ![]()

As a grad student I sympathize with people who couldn't join us for financial reasons feeling left out, but deciding at the last minute that no one gets to sign Shadow's letter at all would still be really deflating to me. (I'm puzzled as to why I feel disappointed -- I don't actually want personal acknowledgment -- I think it might just be a cultural expectation ingrained in me, as in the office card analogy?)
What if we put a post on the Cullen thread asking anyone not in the cake group who'd still like to sign their username (and/or a small note?) to PM a message to some contact person from the cake group? I know we try to avoid talking about it there to keep it a secret, but Allan's the main dev who visits and he already knows. Then everyone who wants to join in can.
*shrug* Don't get me wrong, I'll happily go along with whatever we decide. I just think no signing, no notes, financial contributions only, would take some fun and personalization out of it, and if we open signing to people who didn't contribute money that solves the "left out" problem while still retaining the personalization.
