Who does the Dragon Age community prefer, Oghren or Varric?

Varric of course,  Oghren is fun and all but he's not nearly as fun to have around.  Though I can see some of the crazy shenanigans Oghren and Varric would get into if they were hanging out together.

Varric, no contest for me. Both are good characters with superb dialogue but Varric wins overall in my opinion.

Varric, although it's quite difficult for me since I find that salacious drunkard fun to hang around with, but in the end I prefer Varric, he's a good and loyal friend and probably best sidekick.

Varric all day, everyday. He has a+ humor, sarcastic as hell and he's a gentleman. Oghren makes me cringe.

Varric wins this battle.  Oghren didn't even need to show up to this one.  Varric is just better in every single way. (except maybe at growing facial hair)

Oghren. I actually found Varric quite annoying. Never took him anywhere unless i have to.

Oghren is a stereotypical, drunken dwarf so no wonder more people prefer Varric as he is quite unusual for a dwarf in both personality and appearance. Personally, I like them both, although Varric is much more interesting kind of character. Still, would've been great if there was one more dwarven character among companions in Inquisition, even Oghren returning, as it would've created an opportunity for two completely different dwarves to interact.

Oghren doesn`t get enough love , he reminds me of a drunken friend  but he`s not as good as Mr cool Varric

Varric. I did like the Oghren a ton in DAO (with his character development ) but they seemed to have scrapped that in awakening >_<

I don't like either. Yes, shock horror, someone doesn't like Varric. He's better than Oghren though. Oghren I actually dislike.

I would take Sigrun over both of them

 

Sigrun is wayyy too underdeveloped to be part of any character contest. If she had been male, nobody would even remember, the novelty is that she is the only female dwarf companion in the entire trilogy, but she barely has a personality.
