First it was "The Inquisitor", Then it was "Your Eminence" and now it's the "Herald of Andraste". Now I have absolutely no problem with specific titles, but could Bioware at the very least confirm if we have a choice on how people address us instead of having fans speculate on the matter?

I was thinking that you would be able to choose a title kind of like in the first Fable game and your options can depend on your race and/or how powerful your Inquisition has become. Although I'm not sure if they would be willing to have voice actors/actress uses every variety title to sync with all the lines that require the titles

I know this may sound like rambling to you guys, but it's just something that's been bothering me for a while. Feel free to comment about your feelings on this or don't. If Bioware is reading this, can you please address this at some point?

I also would like a variety of titles much like those acquired in SWTOR, though it may not be as desirable for others in a solo game.

I still haven't forgiven Bioware for taking away the "General" title for the darksided Jedi Knight in SWTOR because of all the cry babies wanting to be "Master" before launch.

I assume we don't actually have a choice but that certain characters will call you certain titles like in Mass Effect with Commander, Sir, Human  etc). I can see normal soldiers calling us Inquisitor, diplomats calling us Eminence, some elf somewhere calling us a shem etc etc

it could be like the previous heroes of the series where people called them by multiple titles, like your character in origins is referred to as "the warden" and/or "the hero of ferelden" and if they made it into awakening they could as have been called "warden commander". and Hawke in dragonage 2 was called "Hawke" and "the champion"

I always assumed those titles are all things that all Inquisitors are automatically called. They are hardly mutually exclusive.

The developers said that, but I'd imagine our subordinates and strangers would refer to us by a title; in the Crestwood demo, a soldier referred to us as 'your eminence', while the recent trailer had Cullen remark that the Inquisitor was 'the Herald'. I'm hoping there's an appropriate title to choose from for the Dalish, Dwarven, and Vashoth protagonist, as 'Herald of Andraste' is ill-suited for a main character who doesn't follow the Andrastian faith.

I don't think (atleast I hope) many people will call us the Herald. The inquisitor is more likely, but I centainly hope that we'll be call by our sur names.

Ex: Hello, Inquiisitor Trevalyan

I'm sure it will be fine.

In ME3 I did not want to be called 'Loco/Lola'.

So it didn't happen...

You are the Inquisitor. People may address you as 'your eminence'. Some believe you are the Herald of Andraste.

Just like Elizabeth II is the Queen. People may address her as 'your majesty'. Some believe she's a lizard.

Commoners may call you Herald of course, but who cares. I mean, people say a lot of things. Therefore I guess we can always tell our companions that this bullshit's not permited.

In the Herald of Andraste thread Allan did confirm that we have some control over our title.

Im going to call my Inquisitor Nyx.

My title will be "Grand Inquisitor Nyx Flamebrand. Dragonlord, Draconarius and High Herald of Andraste. 1st of his name, ruler of all men and demons, Conquerer of the living and the dead, Gentleman lover, Supreme Magister - and the undying will of the maker as his first avatar to walk the worlds" and I expect every NPC to adress me as such.
