I know there is a big announcement coming up. Some are speculating that "big announcement" will be that there is multiplayer. At first I didn't care, but the more I think about it, the more I - and many of others fans - would like Bioware to invest resources elsewhere in the game. If this is the big announcement, then obviously it's too late. But I shall post this feedback regardless, for the hope of future DA games.

Please.

No multiplayer.

They wouldn't be redirecting resources: either MP gets resources, or it doesn't. There would be a different team working on it, and it would have no impact on SP.

MP modes require different kinds of support and gameplay to function, plus different encounter designs. Companies don't just burn $$ - they look for redundancies. MP redundancies actively hurt SP.

Or help it.  The ME3 DLC packs had the best maps in the game and I believe a large part of that had to do with how active the MP team was in designing fun and interesting maps. Look at the maps for Omega for example and compare that to any of the maps in the base game.  There is a clear MP influence on the layout and I think it made for a richer environment.

Wrong, actually all funding goes to Multiplayer now, even though DA:I is almost done, they're scrapping the single player and making Call of Draginz: Pre-Modern Inquisition II. Map pack to follow shortly.

This is what these people want to hear right? They want their preconceptions to be true. The idea that a multiplayer experience and a singleplayer experience could co-exist is just ridiculous.

Empirically speaking, multiplayer and single player have rarely (if ever) coexisted perfectly.  Developers have time and time again heavily favored multiplayer when their game comes with both SP and MP.  Just take a look at The Last of Us.  Can you blame him for having such "preconceptions"?

Eh, I'd prefer it without (mostly cause I can't see how it would work) but I found ME3 MP very fun, and wouldn't cast myself to the floor in frustration if it was announced.

I didn't follow LoU's marketing, but wasn't it advertised mainly as a SP game? That was the focus, while MP was simply an added feature. Which, if what others tell me is true, is not actually half bad.

I just don't see the point and I do believe it will compromise SP gameplay, as others have described the reasons above.

I feel that the "big announcement" will be that we are getting MP for DAI. I'm not excited about that. I don't think many DA fans are, from what I've gathered across the forums, as well as social circles outside of the forums.

Never ever speak for anyone else. If you don't want multiplayer fine, but don't act as if you are speaking for others with your suggestion for not wanting a certain feature.

Far too late at this stage to either get rid of or add multiplayer.

If it's in it is in. If it isn't it isn't. Nothing anyone can do about it.

There will probably be MP. I suggest you come to terms with it now.

If they do allow multiplayer you can try this strategy: don't play it.

Well, if they absolutely have to add in some presumably hacko-slasho-button-omasho MP then at least hand the development to Platinum Games. That way it might at least be fun to play for a while. BioWare has never been the go-to-developer in terms of fun gameplay, I'll say that at least.

I get that some people like multiplayer.  But you can't blame others for being scared.  Look at ME3 they linked it right to the main SP game.  Want full galactic readiness?  PLAY MP.  Hell when the game first came out you needed MP to get the best ending.  They say it was a glitch or whatever but still.  There are a number of examples of why a person who cared about the SP would be scared of Mp.

You're free to speak your feelings about the topic, but I REAAAALLY do want multiplayer.  Especially since there won't be any mods, I need some reason to keep coming back after I have thoroughly exhausted the campaign.

I still remember Warhawk. Was looking forward to a combat flight sim on the console with a single player campaign, then what happened? We scrapped it for MP. Yeah!

Because that was not going to be a bland shoot it up generic SP game any\way. Being MP really did not change anything.

Doesn't change the fact that it was a release title that I was really looking forward to playing and was then told it wouldn't happen because they scrapped it for MP. I dunno how generic it would've been, I never saw it.

That is exactly what I said before ME3 came out.

I agree with the OP. Not at all interested in multi player and I fear if they ever did introduce it, it would damage the uniqueness of the franchise.
