It's said that Fen'Harel imprisoned The Forgotten Ones into the abyss, I really find intriguing, that the old gods are also said to be imprisoned by the maker underground, witch means the creators could be imprisoned in the golden city / heaven and the darkspawn are an attempt to destroy they old enemy?

IF the Old Enemies are Old gods then there is a bit of a mix. The Magisters thought that it was Dumat (Old God), who tells them to enter the Golden City.

This would mean that Magisters were tricked by Creators.

OR Old Gods want to become Darkspawn.

OR there are no Creators, Old Gods and Maker in the first place.

OR any other combination of the previous facts.

 

Without more information I wouldn't try to decode this chain of events. Hopefully DA:I will (or won't) provide some missing puzzle pices to reduce number of theories.

Anyway I think it's a possibility but there's no real proof either way.

There is a great number discrepancy between the Forgotten Ones and the Old Gods. However, there are a number of theories that can account for that. For one, if the Old Gods, the Dragons that are buried beneath the earth are not actually the ones who lured the Magisters to the Black City.

If the Old Gods are actually only Dragons (but a special kind of Dragon, that has something to do with the Veil that separates Thedas from the Fade), they might not even have talked to the people of the Tevinter Imperium at all. The only things these Dragons would have was their song. You know who else has a song? The Magisters who came back from the Black City. There's some connection between the Black City and the Song, I think.

 

So, if it's not the Old Gods who lured the Magisters to the Black City, who did? Well, the Forgotten Ones are a prime candidate. They probably didn't have any power in Thedas due to being locked in "the Abyss", so they lured the Magisters a place where they did have power (the Black City) and corrupted them with the taint, which makes sense, as they are gods of pestilence and disease. This taint could then be used in Thedas to corrupt the Old Gods (the Dragons) in order to destroy the Veil so the Forgotten Ones can once again roam freely.

Eh, that's my theory anyway.
