I just wonder why Bioware tells us who voices Solas so early on when, in all the vids I've seen so far, I don't recall ever having heard Solas speak. Meanwhile, we've heard plenty coming out of Dorian, and Bioware is still being so hush-hush about who voices him when everyone kind of knows it's Ramon Tikaram.
Maybe there's no overarching plan as to when they choose to release certain information; maybe it's all just random, and those who are itching to know the VAs for Dorian and Blackwall are just unlucky.

Yeah, I imagine it's the same for all those other non-English languages. I hope you get a good group! I've heard some horror stories over international dubs in the past. How are the German BioWare projects, historically?
The voice actors in Origins were fantastic - even better than some of the English voices, atleast in my opinion. I really hope that some of these voices (Morrigan, for example) find their way back to Inquisition. ![]()

I believe Mika Simmons was confirmed as Anora, but I don't have the source.
I may also be misremembering things.

I hope so too, for your sake!

Hmm, OK! I'm definitely going to hold off until someone can provide a source since the idea behind this thread, at its most basic level, is to provide something far more legitimized than an IMDB list full of unconfirmed rumors and such. But if you can find a source to prove it (and prove to yourself you aren't misremembering) that'd be lovely.

It's in the twitter thread IIRC.

Love the news about Indira - she's fabulous!
Amusingly, when watching some of the early footage of the game when they were showing a female Qunari mage with Alix's voice, I couldn't help but think "you know, I'd rather have someone like Sumalee Montano for a female Qunari". And a few days later, I heard that she was the other option - completely thrilled, LOVED her in Transformers Prime.
In fact I'm so excited about all of this - can we just have the damn game already? ![]()

Thank you, news scavengers! I made a quick edit including her in the list.
And a reminder that I feel pretty iffy on my incredibly-short trio of Unknown Roles entries right now. I'm bound to be forgetting several things here! Or am I? Maybe that really is it. Oh, I just remembered, I should at least include the Take Your Place In the Inquisition winners, huh?

Can't say I'm the biggest fan of the female voice choices but they might turn out alright.

Since this is about VA a couple of thoughts...
I think Indria was an inspired pick. I haven't followed her work on GoT (I know, feel free to curse me with a plague of locusts), but I thoroughly enjoyed her as John Luther's somewhat antagonistic ex-wife in the former's epynomous series. She's also been a stand out in just about all her walk on roles for several police procedurals over the years. This was a steal for BW.
Moving on. I think it's high time BioWare flew Kevin Conroy to Edmonton or LA. If not for DA:I then the next Mass Effect or Dragon Age. As far as I know he's not doing anything other than Arkham Knight which is rumored to be the last game in the Arkham series. With Jason O'Mara taking up duties as the new voice of the Dark Knight this legend will be available.

So there's obviously no source to this, but we might add Nicholas Boulton and Jo Wyatt returning as Hawke with some fair confidence? It's... really unlikely they would go to the trouble of bringing the main character of the previous game back but then change such a distinctly iconic voice, right.

I wanna, I really wanna, but I really, really wanna wait for confirmation. I totally agree with you that the odds are obviously really, really high, but I definitely want to keep the thread to 100% official. Hopefully we can get an OK on that soon!

On second thought, I added them both to a new section. Made a new section for those other great Inquisition VA videos as well. Looking forward to adding more.

I think Gideon Emery was pretty much confirmed during the Raptr Q&A. I'm having trouble finding the exact quote, but it was something like:
user: Are we going to see Fenris again?
Dev: You may indeed see Gideon Emery again ![]()
So we don't know if it's as Fenris- I mean, he's voiced NPCs in the past, like that templar in Lothering that greets you as you walk in.

Thanks, I had some fun looking through that Q&A for the first time. I was on hiatus from the forums when that most excellent event occurred.
That does indeed sound very much worthy of adding into the Lots of Speculation section. I'm not going to put it under Unknown Roles, juuuust in case Gideon didn't pan out, but as a big Gideon Emery fan, myself, that was a very nice thing to discover some seven weeks late. ![]()

Better, or equally something question: Are we going to see Merrill again? If Bioware wants to commit to this Torchwood reunion they'll need to get Gwen Myles back in the studio.

Hah, I'd missed Mark Meer being in Inquisition. That means both Shepards are on board, yay!
I'm also pretty positive Gwendoline Christie is playing a qunari, considering the #hornsup hashtag in Mary Kirby's (?) tweet. But I kinda wish she wouldn't be typecast as this huge warrior lady, especially when it's just voice work...

of course, it's not a Dragon Age game if Flemeth isn't in it!
Plus Kate Mulgrew is awesome. watching the new season of Orange is the New Black made me want to want Voyager all over again

In Opportunities like these, I always shout out to the german Voice Actor of Oghren (Ben Hecker), who - to me at least - is Proof how heavy Voice Acting can influence the Perception of a Character. German Oghren was a fun Guy with a Penchant for Drinking and Sex Jokes. English Oghren - while also having great Voice Acting - comes across as a creepy Pervert.
