I have updated my Balur's Gate prefab module as of 8/22/2014.

The module can be found at Forgotten Realm's Prefab Project

The area was a 32x32 area that I have broke down into 12x12 areas.

Thanks for your time

I have a few Questions for anyone who checks this prefab out.

Is the City too small?

Should I use the double door wood gates for the city gates or the big iron ones like I'm currently using?

I would be grateful for any and all feed back good or bad. After all that is how we all learn  :)

Thanks for your time

Hmmm I just found this Baldur's Gate Banner

I'm Thinking about redoing my Baldur's Gate Prefab again and try to put all these key points into it. What do you all think? Back to the drawing board?

It would be nice to get a banner like this with all the key points for each city.

Thanks for your time

really like this. would like to see points of interest added and just a personal preference about the doors, i like the idea of the large wooden ones. I can't wait to see more.

I started working on a revamp of my Baldur's Gate Prefab today. I'm trying to focus more on all the key points that are listed on the Baldur's Gate Banner Pic I posted above.

Here is a few updated pic's

I still have a lot more to do.

I know that I keep revamping and it seems like I'm never going to get done with this one prefab. However, I'm learning to work with this tileset more and how to

put what I see on a city map into the game. Somethings this can take a while and a lot of tweaking. After all there is a lot to think about.

Size of each area

Not wanted a lot of waste space

Hitting up all the key points

Trying to make it all look nice and flow together

Learning what you can or can not do with the tileset

But I'm learning and trying to get better  :)

Thanks for your time

Looks really nice so far. Can't wait to see finished product. Also wondering how Luskin will turn out when it's up. :)

Well Luskin is a ways up the coast so as long as this City is taking it will be a minute before I get to that city  :)

Thanks for the interest

I'm trying to finish my forth revamp of this Baldur's Gate prefab and I have to say that I like it a lot. So at this point I don't think I will be revamping it again after this time.

Oh I am also putting signs at each point of interest with the name of the place.

At this point and time I'm not sure if I want to do all the interior areas and NPC's before working on the next one. What do you all think?

I have thought about just building the areas and seeing if I can get someone to populate them with NPC's, animals, and so on. Then once I get done building the Sword Coast if I couldn't get anyone to help me I could go back and do it all my self then. However if during the time while I was building someone did help then everything would go a lot faster.

Thanks for your time.

From what I have been told in the past I would say don't do the npc's but do some interiors. If you re talking about important personages (for example Elminster), you can always do these as separate pre-fab characters at some point.

BTW can you pm me on a related matter.

I agree just create the areas and point of interest interiors and move on.

I just uploaded an updated copy of my Baldur's Gate prefab module. All the out door area's are built and linked together. It still does not have CEP or interior areas yet. Once I put CEP in I will add and modify the outdoor areas and add interior areas as well. But for now anyone could download the module and run through all the out door areas.

Thanks

Oh I failed to mention the city I made has 9 outdoor city areas plus outdoor castle courtyard and seatower courtyard. So 11 total areas so far.

Thanks for your time

Dang! I was going to give you a link where you can find several excellent maps, and then I saw you had already found it. Oh well, maybe someone else will be interested. Here is the site where that Baldur's Gate Banner map (and several others) can be found. If you intend to download any of them, click on the magnifying glass icon under whichever map interests you to get the full size version.
