You seem to believe that every Shepard has to feel sadness for the loss.

The way I play my femshep, she would just shrug it off, and continue moving forward. Just because one doesn't show sadness doesn't mean they aren't. They're just good at hiding it. But for some reason, Bioware wanted Shepard to look sad about what happened.. So they switched my femshep with a stunt double, and get that sad scene. There are some scenes and dialogue in the game my femshep, the one I had in ME1/ME2, would never say or do.

I have to remember, the 3rd game of a trilogy is the place to start.

There are scenes that my Shepard wouldn't have done in all three games. That's the drawback of playing a game with a predetermined storyline - your character development freedom is restricted. You just have to accept it and have fun :)

My Shepard wouldn't have worked for Cerberus, but she was forced to for the entire plot(?) of ME2. Really? Cerberus? And "Cerberus is a known terrorist group." C-sec and the Citadel Fleet didn't make a single move to impound the ship? Really? They just let them come and go as they wished? Talk about an asinine ... I don't know what you'd call it.

"That's a capital offense."

So we have a terrorist group's ship docked on the Citadel proudly displaying their logo, and Shepard working for them. And all of this is okay? Because ... reasons.

"You're back from the dead."

"Yeah, but there's a lot of strings attached. See I've got to work for this terrorist group, Anderson, and do this job for them because you guys aren't doing anything. You realize this will boost their enlistments, right?"

"I understand, Shepard, and I'm sorry. I can't help you. Not as long as you're with Cerberus."

"Uh, can't you just impound the ship? and reinstate me? Who said I can't?"

"No. You would not know them, and there isn't time to explain."

MY Shepard didn't want to work for The Illusive Man. But since I was stuck doing so, I figured I might as well act the part with total disregard for life.
