I've pondered this for a while and thought about if a tranquil dramk several ales, would they still succumb to drunkyardness. I also wondered if ale could break one's tranquality by as people get very emotional when drunk. Or they would be very stoic drinkers or fall flat on their face and deal with the hangover like a true legend.

Well, they still have physical bodies, so I presume they are still affected by physical processes.

I'd guess they would vomit all over the place, maybe even on a senior mage. Senior mage would be pisses and would morph drunken dude into a frog, the Templars would be pissed 'cause of the mage and would give him a slap, the mage would cry, then all out of sudden, Hawke appears and begins to dance, then everyone in the circle is happy n'stuff.

If the Tranquil didn't drink some of the ale they brew, I'd be very surprised.

They can probably get drunk; there's just not much point in doing so.

Well, they'd probably lose coordination, suffer slurred speech, and eventually pass out.  However, I doubt they'll have the same issues with losing impulse control, because Tranquil don't really have impulses to control.

....  I'd have to guess, "yes," since drinking and the Fade are not connected.  They'd stumble around and maybe throw up, but since they wouldn't enjoy it they probably wouldn't get that far.  I can't imagine any alcohol so powerful that it would reverse Tranquility though.  Maybe Everclear.

hmm this is actually a good question, now I am wondering if they still have the concept of hunger, or being thirsty, the need to sleep, the need to use the bathroom etc

I imagine "Get the Tranquil drunk," is a common game in Circle of Magi.

Interesting... theory, and some do have points... I would say, someone without emotions will just get their brain clogged with gunk, but still no attitude change.  Basically slur their words, stumble around but still be no attitude changing.

Who was it that got drunk for the first time ever in a series.... I want to say Worf, I cant remember, or was it Data.  Had no emotional from outset and then drank and was funny. :)

Yeah, lets play Get the Tranquil Drunk game.  :D

I could also see Templars getting a Tranquil drunk just to make sure they're not pretending.

Pfft get some triple distilled Balkan 176 aka they had to distill it THREE times to get it down to 176 proof and that is a real God/Man's drink.

o.o You can also use it for jet fuel!

I think Whiskey is what it was, as that is usually what it seems like, a gaseous type effect. I have Cinnamon and Honey Whiskey's and they are liquid fires.  :)

Mater Warder Z, think that drink will turn them back from Tranquil or just pass out and wake up and go back to doing what they was doing before passing out?

Of course they can't. Didn't you know that a link to the fade directly affects one's ability to achieve inebriation? Looks like someone needs to study up.

That sounds about my style.  Hell, I feel like living on the wild side tonight.  I'll have a full tablespoon, no chaser!

Oghren doesn't have a link to the Fade(being a dwarf), and he's rarely not drunk.

Have you seen the size of him? Smirnoff ice would even be able to get that four foot ginger bastard drunk.
