Cullen is the best looking guy in the game for me, too bad he's also not romanceable.
My inquisitor's probably just gonna choose between Ironbull and Cassandra. I just have to see how their personality panned out in the new game.

Oh, I see. I never knew wolves can get banish from the pack. That's pretty mean.Yes, but lone wolves also exist:

I never get the expression of lone wolves. Wolves are pack oriented and value companionship.
Only sufficiently badass people will get it.... ![]()

I think me and other guys and gals would prefer to romance him as a guy. It's a preference since I have already decide for my canon to be a male qunari.Cullen is romanceable for female PCs.

Looks aren't everything in romance, character and chemistry should be the deciding factors.

I won't pretend to guess who all would want to romance him as a guy, but saying he's not romanceable is technically not true, just like saying Dorian is not romanceable is not true. Just wanted to make sure that was clear, in general. ![]()

I can't imagine how anyone can look at Cassandra, Josephine, Cullen, and Dorian and say that they aren't very attractive. I know that tastes are subjective, but these are some pretty "classically" attractive people.
I can kind of understand Sera. Her styling and her facial features are less "classically" attractive, but (imo), she's still a good looking gal.
I personally think Iron Bull is sexy. A giant scruffy mass of muscles? Yes please! But, that being said, I can see how others might not find him all that attractive.
In general, though? Pretty good looking group of people!

Agree, but still attitude is important.
It should be both, really. Because no matter how handsome someone is, if you want to b*tchslap him every 5 minutes (like Fenris for me) you won't get very far in your romance.

It's the mustache on Dorian. It's a very bold choice on their part. And it's not a subtle mustache either.

I'm pretty sure BBM knows Cullen is romance-able by females. Pointing that out isn't going to make him or anyone else feel better about the situation.

Personality/characterization definitely means more to me in a video game, especially since looks are moddable with the right tools. If I don't click with a character, nothing I can do will alter my mindset enough to romance a character.
I like the new art style, it's growing on me, and I don't think the companions are physically unappealing. Except for Ironbull--but that's an aesthetic thing on my part, beauty being in the eye of the beholder so to speak, since I don't think Qunari are very attractive as a race. If his personality outshines my aversion I may make a lady Qunari to romance him.
And lol at Ser Anomen. Definitely sad that he was the only option unmodded for a female in BG2, but he could be sweet at times even if he was absolutely annoying. Also a shame he was the most useful of the cleric options to tag along in the group with his dual class skills, so even my male Bhaalspawns had him in the group most of the time.

I'm one of the five people who enjoyed the Anomen romance, and I still think it sucked that he was the only romance option for female characters. I mean, what where my seven other Bhaalspawn meant to do? Romance him again? (The answer turned out to be 'donwload lots of mods' and 'wait for the Extended Edition' but back in 2000 those weren't really options.)
I'm so glad we have moved on from those days and now everyone - including gay and lesbian characters - gets a choice.

TBH I found the actual paladin (Keldorn) far less annoying than the paladin wannabe (Anomen). Too bad he was already spoken for, wish I could have convinced him to dump his cheating wife and give my Bhaalspawn a shot. Both spent most of the game in my groups as both were pretty damn useful to my protagonist.
The only time I regretted my Keldorn affection was the time I tried romancing Viconia.
Did not end pretty... ![]()

The preference was set by the developers. I just wish he was the bisexual one instead of someone else during the distribution discussion.

Okay I'm to lazy to start a thread so hopefully someone else will. Any way here's my question: will the romances be different for different PC's? Like if you romance Cassandra with an elf will that be different then if you romance her with a humane? If so how much of a difference will it be?
In DAO the romance was basically the same with any character you chose.
I'm 99% sure that they will be identical except for a few lines here and there. Romance is just a small feature in the game. In combine with the large number of LI we have alongside with variation based on 2 genders, I have enough headache to worry about without taking into account for race.

Well I don't find all of them all that attractive really...
I think Cassandra turned out great, it was just that first closeup screenshot with her jaw a mile wide that didn't do her justice.
I'm not a big fan of bald Solas as I much preffered that much more interesting haircut he had in that one early concept art, but I really like his voice from the demo so I think his bald look just might grow on me ![]()
Iron bull has a face only a mother could love imo
I don't get why he's so popular as a romance. But otherwise I like his look as a companion because it's really distinctive and it gives him character
I just don't really want to romance him...

I remember an ancient quote from David where he was told that Anomen was to be the romance after he had already written him as basically an insufferable *****. He was like, "Seriously?" I'm paraphrasing him, btw.
I still think Haer'dalis would've been better. He might have been a bat****-crazy demonspawn, but I liked him better haha.

I liked Anomen too
I though the fact that he was a bit pompous was a nice character flaw and made him more human.
I'm just replaying BG2 and I still like Anomen romance ![]()
