chances are each companions and adviser will have a personal quest where you learn more about them, the last 2 Dragon Age games had them, don't see why tis one wouldn't, usually you have to finish a companions quest line for the romance to really finish

To my eyes the female LIs are all beautiful, so I don't really understand all the bashing they've been getting because from where I stand they are just incredibly attractive to look at.
The male LIs aren't too shabby on the superficial side either. Cullen is to my eyes at this point practically a pictorial ode to conventional masculine physical appeal. Dorian looks like a black and white movie heartthrob, he could smolder along with Valentino quite happily. Iron Bull has definitely got an impressive physique that evidently appeals aesthetically to many people. I can see why some are hankering for Blackwall, he's a pretty handsome older guy. Solas doesn't do anything for me personally but he's not ugly and he probably looks less attractive than he is independently because he's standing with a group of people that include Leliana, Vivienne, Dorian and Cullen - that's not a group you want to stand with if you're are being judged on your appearance and you are not possessed of Godlike gorgeousness.
The thing is, why do they all have to be beautiful in order to be lovable or desirable anyway? Most people don't come close to these pixels in terms of beauty and yet the human race has continued without any trouble for all of our history. Perhaps, there will be something attractive about a LIs personality that strikes a chord with the player and makes them want to pursue the romance optional content EVEN IF they are not the image of that player's ideal of physical perfection. There's something about all the focusing on the 'wrong' jawline or the 'gross' hair that just seems a little off to me. I don't like it.

Yup. And even Isabela was meh to me. She is awesome as a character, but never felt in love for her as a romance. Sex friend only for my Hawk lol. Never succeeded to see her as his love of his life. Only Morrigan had this effect. ( though, kinda funny because my warden chose to remain in Ferelden to rule his poor kindgom suffering. )
I feel that this time, I'm going to be very pleased with the new cast, probably the best for me.
Also what I find awesome is how male characters look great and please me already a lot. Which is really nice since I had no bro ( like Garrus and Alistair ) in DAII, and absolutely no respect for Anders or Fenris or Sebastian. It was really annoying to not love any male character. 
Nope do not want to romance them and neither particularly interested to be their friend ( though at least Fenris and Sebastian didn't blow up a tower full of human life ). 
There, I'm already in love with BAMF Cullen and Solas, the same for Iron Bull and Dorian, and a new Varric who seems particularly interesting. Sooooo many potential buddies and Lis for my characters !!!

I never found a Bioware created character particularly attractive / interesting (as attractive and interesting as a fictional char can be) but I have to say, they totally hit the nail this time with Cassandra. Finally. Totally.
Judging by what we already know about her she seems to embody almost everything I admire and value, plus shes completed with an absolutely smoking hot appearance.

I'm going to romance Josephine in my first playthrough with my Human female mage. In future playthroughs I will definitely romance Solas. (if he's an option *fingers crossed*) and Iron Bull.

I will be romancing every female option. I don't know if I will romance Cullen and know I wont romance Dorian as of right now. I would romance Bull. He seems to have great banter at least with Sera.

I actually didn't like Morrigan in the last trailer, the enemy of thedas. Don't know what they did with her face... I She looks like a teen barbie... Maybe need more screenshots to look at however.

Firstly, wheres the long hair? No fems have them. Cassandra was ok in da2 now she looks more warrior like, which aint a problem coz i need warriors not dolls. Dont see anything in jose and vivienne other than good artwork and graphics.
and sera.... What a hairdo! And that extra dark eye lining makes her a bit scary. Might come in handy scaring some demons.
