I'm right now waiting for more details on these characters.
What type of romance are you going for?

Lots of ideas, most of which will probably change once I play the game:
Male Qunari dual-wielding rogue and Iron Bull. Aggressive, opportunist, anti-human. Initially deterred by Iron Bull's adherence to the Qun, he enters a casual relationship with him. Whether it goes anywhere remains to be seen. Additional party: Vivienne and Varric
Male human archer and Cassandra. Diplomatic but with extreme pro-human, anti-mage/elf/magic beliefs. His pro-Chantry beliefs and willingness to associate with powerful (human) figures makes Cassandra a good match. Additional party: Blackwall and Solas
Male elf sword and shield warrior and Dorian. Humourous personality. After leaving the Dalish, he is initially phobic of human society and drawn to Solas/Sera. But after learning how Dorian rejected an elf-enslaving society, his views on humans and romance change. Additional party: Varric and Cassandra
Female elf necromancer and Solas. Drawn to darkness, isolation and chaos, as well as being staunchly anti-human. Her love of knowledge, magic, elves and loners makes Solas a good match. Additional party: Cole and Sera
Male dwarf very undiplomatic two-handed warrior and Josephine. Drawn to death and laughter in equal measure. Romantically, he likes to surprise himself, and a respectable human diplomat is pretty much his complete opposite. Party: Vivienne, Solas and Varric
Female Qunari two-handed Reaver and Sera. Aggressive-diplomatic. Has a love of order and power hierarchies. Sera balances out these tendencies. Also has sympathy for the Qun. Additional party: Dorian, Varric
Female human circle rift mage and Cullen. Diplomatic, humorous pro-mage. The temptation for a Circle mage to bag a senior Templar is too much of a thrill for her to resist. Party: Vivienne, Cole and Cassandra
Female dwarf rogue and Blackwall. Drawn to darkness, death and beards. Additional party: Vivienne and Dorian

My first inquisitor is going to a female mage Quanari, so going straight for Ironbull. Then I'll either play a human/elf mage and will romance Cullen. ![]()
I hope Solas will be a LI but will have to wait and see.

Ya'll who are like "I can't decide between X and Y"... por que no los dos?
I can't be the only one who played their first Wardens and Hawkes as veritable harlots, flirting and sleeping with every LI that crossed their path until they settled on The One, right? I imagine my first Inquisitors won't fall too far behind. Cass or Dorian? Sera or Bull? Cullen or Josie? No need to lose sleep choosing upfront based on what we imagine the romances will be like, just flirt with both and decide which romance path you want to pursue further once you've seen a hint, in game, of where each one actually goes.

One of them will be boned just to get the inevitable romance achievement.

I'm always drawn to the broken characters (although most of them are broken to some extent). Morrigan and Isabela were always my go-to girls. It never felt right romancing the other characters and those playthroughs usually never got finished lol.
I'm not drawn to any character specifically at the moment. I have a hunch that my Inquisitor will end up with Cassandra though if she ends up being the "hard on the outside, soft on the inside" kinda girl.

Whoever I choose, I just hope for a satisfyingly dramatic story with still the possibility of a happy ending.
I'm really hoping that the fade power in your hand is gonna be something bad/dangerous for you. Like it spreads or makes you sick or makes your existence in reality unstable... something like this that would add an element of potential tragedy to your romance. Especially if you're romancing Solas (being a fade expert) or one of the other mages (who might be able to see how the fade magic is affecting you). Then again, it'd be equally fun if you were romancing a non-mage and trying to keep your situation hidden from them.
What can I say, I just want to see my LI worried/fretting/mourning over me. But I'm a sucker for a happy ending so I want that too.

Human male romancing Dorian.
Initially I was planning on making a mage myself, but now I don't know... I really want to have Vivienne in my party along with Dorian, but 3 mages seems like overkill. I might have to go warrior, and round out the party with Varric. Then again, maybe the Knight Enchanter specialization will allow me to cover the warrior role and still play a mage.

You are not alone in that.
My first run Inquisitor is going to flirt with everyone, and I'm just going to see where it goes. I tend to pick whichever one amuses me the most, but since we don't know very much about the characters, I have no idea who that will end up being. - if they're available for a male, they're an option -I have no other standards for the character's choice of LI (at least on the first run).

I don't want to plan too much in advance for my first playthrough. I know I will play a female mage or rogue, but that's it. For the last two games I had an idea in advance who I would romance. This time I'd like to just start up the game, recruit as many people as I can find for that playthrough and see who I find most appealing in-game.
I plan very little beyond initial inspiration for my characters and only one at a time. I'm not going for any type of romance; I have to play the game with a given character and let that character, and their relationships, develop organically. So I don't plan romances or have any preconceived notions about them at all.
This. I don't plan anything regarding romances (and other things). Might pursue one of them, might not.

NONE. Goddamn romances are all people talk about on these forums. Truth is, they're just a gimmick, a novelty. I'd rather be actually playing the game properly (killing demons and the good stuff), or be on a real date with a real person. But people can do what they want I suppose, it is their gaming experience after all, I just find they idea of grown human beings falling in love and growing overly attached to a bunch of pixels on a screen which doesn't exist and never will kinda weird.
Are you really killing demons?
No?
Well then I'm not really falling in love

This is me also, first play through is a bit of a mess and not 'planned'. My first Hawke bounced from Fenris to Anders and had a fling with Isabella on the side. The snarky companion banter was totally worth it.

I usually just wait and see who my characters gravitate towards more and let it play out organically, but I have to be honest here ...
I'm going to romance the hell out of Cullen.
Several times.

My first play through will be a female human mage, I'm going to romance Josephine. I hope it's a fun and flirty relationship, but also emotional and heartfelt. I have some headcanons about my inquisitor's personal feelings and I hope there is a way to convey that in the romance. I think it will be a well done romance since it's being written by Sylvia Feketekuty who did Liara's romance in ME.
Fingers crossed ![]()

Apart from that my inquistors will walk alone, bringing along people who best fit the quest parameters.
