I think the Qunari were actually supposed to have horns in Origins but BW had trouble with them when they wore helmets.

Exactly so instead Bioware just created a lore excuse as to why Qunari in DAO had no horns when it was really just a technical/budget problem.

What's scary to qunari does not mean it would be scary to everyone else. It's not a point to being hornless.

Why? We have to be literal with the biology of a fictional race? Even then it's fictional so their biology can be made up in what ever way.

No, I think even if your Qunistitor doesn't have horns, still no helmet, alternative head piece.

The developers have said that Qunari can't have helmets in DAI due to their horns (but have different headgear instead)... it would be cool if they had helmets for non horned Qunari... and then made it so horned Qunari had other bonuses... like a headbutting bonus :-). Probably not going to happen but it would be cool.

I assume it was the horns that was the reason Qunari had no helmet option but if you can make a Qunari without horns it doesn't really make any sense why you can't then wear a helmet?
