I find Warp Ammo nearly useless when I have other ammos

For glitches - Incendiary
For high damage weapons - Phasic
For everything else - Disruptor
Warp is great against primed targets, I get it...but so are BioBooms. Everything Warp Ammo does for me is overshadowed by another ammo type.

Warp is the #1 ammo for me, followed by disruptor.
AP and drill are alright.
I don't care for the other ones.

Warp ammo is really good for classes that can't biotically boom very well, but prime just fine. Collector Adept is a good example. Dark Sphere can prime a whole spawn, but your combos are really weak and you can only get about one a second, and after four you're stuck until your swarms cooldown ends. Alternatively, you unload into them with a PPR with warp ammo, do 4000 dps to each individual enemy, and annihilate them in seconds.

"nearly useless"?

best ammo for pure dmg imo, love it on every biotic character and on SRs.

Somewhat agree. It's kinda overrated on biotic characters too.

I can do that with AP.

Best ammo for pure damage excluding shielded enemies and multihits*

For AF kits ... works awesome.
For a TGI/DAI/GI w/ Harrier and HVB .. yes you can get detonations with other ammo types, but the pure damage output of this set-up doesnt require it

It's not so much the fact that warp ammo is not good, its that the higher difficulties have so much armor spam that you'd have to be daft to trade 5% weapon damage for ignoring 75% of armor, possibility for double/triple hits and being able to dispense with weapon piercing mods at the same time. AP is simply too good at direct damage, and incendiary/ disruptor primes combos.
I will use warp against collectors or when I see a prevalance of biotic kits in the lobby for faster boss takedowns. Otherwise, it pretty much sits on the shelf because I don't use biotic kits very often
I imagine warp would get used more if it actually primed for level 7 BE's like incindiary and disruptor do for FE's and TB's respectively.

U wot m8?
First off, warp ammo reduces armor by 65%. Secondly, when primed warp ammo gives you a bonus 120% damage versus armor, and 240% damage versus barriers! When you can stop a banshee from jumping in two seconds flat single-handed, you've gotta know it's great.
Furthermore, it doesn't mess up other people's biotic combos, and because the damage doesn't come from combos you can use it on charge-up weapons without having to stop to combo every few seconds, losing much of your DPS.

Bonus vs. barriers, armor, health and it weakens armor too (we all know armor is the boss of the game)
Doesn't interfere with priming (this is very important for me - I'd prefer 6/6 explosions when possible than a disruptor or inc. primed combo)
Additional bonus to 'lifted' targets
So much awesomeness. I use it on everything - adepts, soldiers, engineers, vanguards, infiltrators and sentinels.

Probably my preferred ammo type on biotics- its all about that massive biotic damage bonus.

IMO
AP>Incendiary>Cryo>Warp>Phasic>Drill>Disruptor>Explosive
I barely ever use disruptor. I hate tech bursts, phasics are better for shields/barriers. Warp is good, it has a nice damage boost, doesn't interfere with combos etc. AP is king.

Depends what level ammo you're using. Warp IV is amazing but Warp III is far worse.

All that would be really useful if not for the fact that it requires a biotic space magic power and I only play quarians. I'd rather be able to double hit instagib brutes and ravagers with AP or drill and shoot phantoms in the face while they are taking cover behind 2m of wall, or alternatively set fire to and blow them up
That's more of a downside than anything. I love messing with combos to improve my Edong score in relation to others. It's the primary reason that I ever use disruptor. The tech bursts are just a nice bonus on the side.

Warp ammo's decent as a "when every other ammo type isn't that good an option" ammo.
Kit's with biotics, kits such as the HuEng that don't want to mess up their 6+6 combo's, non-hitscan gun users, kits using sniper rifles (which will be running AP mods anyway, since the other mods are usually pointless),and users of guns such as the executioner with built in AP that don't care about the armour damage penalty can all make good use out of it, especially if they fit several of these criteria.
I still prefer AP or drill most of the time though. :/

I find Warp Rounds to be rather good on biotic kits that aren't too amazing at self detonating.
Although due to bugs, Incendiary, AP, and Drill Rounds are still the best in the game.

On paper, it's extremely good on adepts with a power priming for a long duration and with bad cooldowns or weak biotic explosions. The most obvious example is the collector adept with PPR. Other examples could be kits with Warp or Dark Channel using a heavy weapon, like a krogan shaman with Crusader.
It's also excellent on infiltrators using a multi-hits SR with a shield stripping power, like the SI or the QMI with a Black Widow. You can stack the piercing mods on a SR and with Warp ammo you benefit from a huge damage bonus against barriers, armors and health.
A potentiel dilemma between warp and AP ammo comes however when you use a SMG, what can be quite frequent on casters. With this category of guns, when you use warp ammo, you need the high velocity barrel to be very effective against armor, but you can't use at the same time the high caliber barrel, so you may loose some performance against shields. Not a big deal against Reapers and Collectors, but more problematic against Geth and Cerberus.

AP ammo gives full damage cover penetration, but that doesn't matter on any of the guns with innate penetration where Warp is always better against armor and also has a bonus to barriers.
