Polonium III is not as good as Incendiary IV

I use it when I want to take advantage of DoT glitching but I don't want to mess up primers.

I'm not sure if Polonium Ammo does that. And a fire splosion once in a while is fine, too, isn't it?

I can't guarantee it but I'm pretty sure it does based on my use of it. I like booms too, but Incendiary can mess up 6+6 combos if that's what I'm going for.

FEs have a glitch which can cause the following incendiary ammo shots to do zero DoT.  This happens when the FE detonates on the last tick of an incendiary ammo DoT.

For armor - AP / Drill (dat penetration)
For glitches - Incendiary
For high damage weapons - Phasic
For everything else - Disruptor

Warp is great against primed targets, I get it...but so are BioBooms. Everything Warp Ammo does for me is overshadowed by another ammo type.

The explosive ammo beats them all in the usefulness department.

After 2.5 years it's still amazing to see how broken ME3 gamplay is. And yet ME3MP is a lot of fun.

It does not need to be on the last tick. It can happen even on the first tick as long as you fail to reapply the incendiary ammo at least once every 3 seconds.

Hmmm .... this is different from what tyhw said "B) The IA DoT is still active when the FE DoT occurs. If this happens, you're safe. Keep shooting the target, and the IA DoT will continue to stack."  I'm confused.

Let me explain further regarding that linked thread you gave.

A) The FE DoT takes effect with no IA DoT.

This can happen if IA DoT runs out while there's still an ongoing FE DoT. This can even happen on the first tick because FE DoT (4 seconds) can still outlast IA DoT (3 seconds).

A sample timeline in which the glitch occurs on the first tick is as follows:

Shoot gun (apply IA) > detonate on first tick > wait 3 seconds > IA DoT runs out, FE DoT has 1 second left > shoot gun > IA glitches.

This can also happen with powers because they do not count as IA DoT. A power-only FE combo's FE DoT tick will result in all subsequent IA DoT to glitch and do no damage unless you wait for it to run out.

Once the DoT glitch happens, it will continue to do no damage as long as you keep stacking it. Letting it run out by waiting 3 seconds will fix it.

B) The IA DoT is still active when the FE DoT occurs. If this happens, you're safe. Keep shooting the target, and the IA DoT will continue to stack

This usually happens if you detonate the IA DoT early, because you will still have 0.5 to 3 seconds left to shoot the target before IA DoT runs out and glitches, as described under section A.

For a real-life example, check out this video

1: IR DoT was detonated on the 5th tick out of 6 since the last of the first group of reegar shots, almost missing the detonation window.
2: After 7 DoT ticks since the last reegar shot on the atlas, the reegar hits the atlas again. The old IR DoT died 1 tick ago, but the FE DoT still had 6 ticks to go.
3: The following reegar shots on the atlas did extremely poor damage due to IR DoT corruption bug and reegar’s dependence on ammo to do heavy armour damage.
4: Said reegar shots also have a less-than-3-second interval between application and continuously stacked the corrupted IR DoT.
5: Once the corrupted IR DoT ticks 6 times after the last of these said shots, the reegar dispatched the atlas with ease.

Somewhat agree. It's kinda overrated on biotic characters too.

This, save for large-area primers like reave and dark sphere.

I equip warp ammo mostly on adept kits and the occasional almighty GI Claymore build.
