1.What colour best represents them?
Deep, stormy blue, like thunderclouds.
2.If they were an animal, which would they be?
A very large, slobbery dog who is unswervingly loyal, un-self-consciously goofy, and not too bright.
3.Which music genre would best describe your Inquisitor?
Gaelic or Scandinavian folk music, especially something in a minor key. Rohan theme, yes, but especially the
amateur guitar version. He wants to be heroic, but he isn't there yet.
4.What season reflects their personality best?
Winter, when everything seems dead, but seeds lie dormant in the earth.
5.If your Inquisitor was a force of nature, what kind would they be? (hurricane, earthquake, etc.)
A glacier: slow, but unstoppable, with the slight but ever-present threat of an avalanche.
6.What’s their alignment?
He is self-aware enough to know that he is neutral good, but he would like to be more lawful.
7.Which element best describes them?
Earth.
8.What scent would they be associated with, if any?
Leather and steel and tilled earth. Mostly, though, he smells like soap.
9.Are they better with children, animals, or neither?
Animals. He loves them in all shapes and sizes. He likes children, but he doesn’t really know how to relate to them.
10.What’s the Inquisitor’s favourite food?
Beef stew with lots of onions and fresh, crusty bread.
11.Can they cook?
Only in the sense that he can keep himself alive. Most people would rather eat their own footwear than anything he prepares.
12.Do they have any hobbies?
He loves books. He loves to read them (although getting him to admit that he can read is a feat), but he also loves to be surrounded by them. He also likes to fish. He doesn’t necessarily like to catch anything, but sitting in a boat with a friend and a jug of ale holds tremendous appeal to him.
He also loves riding with a passion that he shows for few other things, but he is currently without a horse, and his tone when he speaks of the hobby is bitter.
13.Are they very fashion-conscious or more practical?
He owns nothing that he does not immediately need, but he has fantasies about a silken nightshirt. He isn’t fussed about looks, but the sensuality of the texture appeals to him.
14.Are they neat or unorganised?
Neat. He owns next to nothing, but what he does have is meticulously cared for.
19. What’s your Inquisitor’s opinion on each of the various races, if any?
The only dwarves he knew apart from Bartha are a family of traders who visited his home village once a year. He got on well with them, and he loved hearing about their travels. In other words, he acknowledges that they have their own history and their own customs and he likes to learn about them, but he doesn’t think they’re better or worse than humans.
In the village where he grew up, life was hard. His family had a horse farm, but the principle industry was logging. Elves with the strength and ability to do well did well, and nobody really thought much about their race. Elves who were not strong enough or hardy enough to be good loggers were poor, but so were the humans who weren’t strong enough or hardy enough to succeed. He is aware that city elves are often mistreated by human overlords and he thinks it’s criminal, but he isn’t an activist. He’ll fight to defend those of his acquaintance, but he won’t go out of his way to right wrongs against people he doesn’t know.
He has no idea what a qunari even is, but if he knew, their philosophy would terrify him. In his world, the only freedom someone has is the ability to choose his or her own fate. Take that away, and they aren’t really people anymore.
