I'd like to see this happen, so I could experience ME3 without it actively trying to kill my Playstation.

what's it doing to your playstation? The only issue I've had is bad framerate and the lip sync not being synced

If it comes to the PS4 and includes all the DLC then Bioware has my money.

The load times on the PS3 versions of ME2 could be a lot better. The 360 versions basically run laps around the PS3 ones. Also, the last game patch seems to have introduced a strange bug where it takes much, much longer for Engineering deck on the Normandy to load.

One thing I REALLY want to see is them 'fix' the first cutscene of the Arrival DLC to where you aren't forced into that cutscene when you touch your terminal after the Collector Ship. Instead, make it to where you have to actually click a "receive transmission" button on the message

In truth, just thinking about playing ME1 with all its story strenghts but with the gameplay of ME3 gets me salivating.

I don't think ME3's gameplay would fit, ME2's maybe better since the level design in both games is... okay.

But I share your dream, problem is we'll be performing inception with Di caprio before they do that.

A HD remaster for 1 and 2 would be great and a simple port for 3 is all that's really needed.

But I highly doubt Bioware would actually work on a Re-master of those games now as they've not really been out that long and it would require more effort on their part when they could simply ask EA to higher another company to make a port for the Trilogy with all the DLC and release it. That way Bioware can focus all their resources one DA:I has launched on the next mass effect.

If Bioware have pushed the Launch for the next Mass effect back to 2016-2017  then it'd be possibly much better for them to announce a PS4 and XB1 port of the Original trilogy in 2015 so that way the fans have something to play for at least several months.

While they'd need to bundle it all together at a possibly discounted rate from the original retail price of all the games, I'm sure most of us would't mind paying between 60 to 80 dollars for a next gen trilogy with all the DLC.

Rumours are little more than a fuzzy way of saying "I just made up...." or "I heard....".

Well thanks to dedicated fans if you are on pc you can already have it.
Just a shame that for the pc release bioware didn't just use the assets they had already created as part of the build or release them as a patch later (like what happened for skyrim).

Add ME3 biotic explosions and tech bursts, some graphic upgrades and it'd be worth playing.

There is a way to transfer xbox 360 data to Xbox 1 they're doing it with destiny so if you start on 360 and upgrade later you don't have to start from scratch. This is my main concern about MEN if it's NG exclusive can we transfer data across consoles? I'll have  PS4 by then instead of xbox so a remastered edition would really help.

That's because all your character progress in Destiny is stored on Bungie's servers, as opposed to your system. This method of carryover would be possible for any ME3MP progress, since that stuff is stored on BioWare/EA servers, but not Singleplayer data (since those saves stored on your system's hard drive).

The poor framerate is a near-constant experience in Multiplayer, and after a certain amount of time, the FPS will drop into the low teens/single digits, eventually freezing your system completely. While you may notice the framedrops a bit on the Silversun Strip, or at a few points during Priority Earth II, it's nowhere near as bad as it is for us MP guys. I even helped to write a guide about it and recorded a video example, which you can find here if you're interested.

When I heard the word 'rumours' I thought it was a bit suss but having a look around there's actually a fair few articles indicating something is up with this and I have to say I'm genuinely excited to see what it is.

*fingers crossed*

At least on the PS3 you don't get a really annoying mix of low res and high res textures:

Sadly modders haven't got around to sorting out all of the textures in the game... and Bioware don't look like releasing their textures for free.

According to a July 10th, 2014 article on BREATHCASTE.COM,

"Aaryn Flynn, General Manager for Bioware's Edmonton & Montreal studios has confirmed they are working on a remake of the original trilogy for next-gen consoles"

Not that you can believe everything you read on the internet, but the article seems legitimate.

My wishes for the remake:

1) better graphics (ME1 especially)

2) incorporate the combat mechanics, weapon & inventory system of ME3 to the whole trilogy

3) All DLC must be included

4) fix all the bugs that should have been fixed long ago

5) Make Ashley & Miranda available as love interests for FemShep. Not fair that my male Shep gets all the good ones.

Being realistic, I would have two 'nice to haves';

1) Remaster with better textures

2) DLC included

I'd be highly surprised if any Next-gen port went beyond this.

Just remembered something else I'd like to see changed in the remake.

In Mass Effect 2, I want the option of having Shepard's (and squad) helmets off in conversations.

I remember wearing Blood Dragon Armor once during LOSB, and there was nothing sweet about kissing Liara through a helmet.

Honestly my biggest complaint about 3 is that the squad is so small. It makes sense for some former allies not to rejoin.

2) incorporate the combat mechanics, weapon & inventory system of ME3 to the whole trilogy I agree wholeheartedly, but just putting 3's mechanics into 1's environments would lead to some battles being way too easy and others being virtually impossible. The wide open areas outside - especially those littered with enemy snipers or geth colossi - would be nightmares with 3's mechanics.

3) All DLC must be included 100%

4) fix all the bugs that should have been fixed long ago If this is a remake then it's an all-new code so there would be all new bugs. If it's just a remaster then I'm definitely with you 100%

5) Make Ashley & Miranda available as love interests for FemShep. Not fair that my male Shep gets all the good ones. Eh, not every character should be bisexual. I assume it is still okay to be "straight" in the future.

I'd love to see:

Basics:

1.) Overhauled Graphics and Textuers (especially ME1)

2.) 1080p

3.) 60FPS! Or at the very least constant 30FPS.

4.) All DLC included.

Advanced:

1.) Some more Bugfixes. Especially animations and lipsync.

2.) IF Servers are shutdown by then, adjustable EMS Rating.

3.) Helmet off option in cut scenes.

4.) Some really nice Bonus Content. Making of, Artwork, maybe even the comics, etc.

Bat **** crazy, will not happen ever, wishes:

1.) New Epilogue Mission or Scenes, with one more ending (A happier one, with a bit of pathos) to either properly send off the Trilogy before the next ME comes out OR bridge the two games.

2.) The OPTION(!) to play a Fan(!) Edition Cut which uses the MAHEM Ideas. Even on consoles. It's not like they would have to worry about fan approval for that one or put in any hard work to get it going.

3.) Let Tali be a LI for Femshep too!

True enough on most of your comments.

ME3 mechanics - maybe not, but ME1 definitely needs an overhaul. I know it's an RPG but if there's combat in the game - make it fun.

As far as the "bisexual" comment - I don't think every character should be bisexual (I've mentioned this before in another post) because it wouldn't be very realistic. Originally, Ashley and Miranda were supposed to be available for FemShep , according to Bioware. Frankly, I'm more in the Miranda camp because my FemShep has a crappy selection of LI's in ME2.

I can also "wish" for whatever I want, even though I know it's highly improbable. I assume it's still ok to wish for things in the present.

Sell it with all the DLC, and I'd be all over it.  No way in hell I'm buying all of that again lol.

A version with all the DLCs, a lot of bugfixes (like missing dialogue, missions not marked as completed, lip sync problems etc.), much better graphics (better textures, anti-aliasing, shaders, lights, shadows...) would be great.

Some changes to ending cutscenes would've been awesome too, like showing other races more when fighting on Earth, see rachni soldiers...

Dang, almost forgot.

Biggest point for me, next to the Basics I mentioned, improve the friggin load times on consoles.

Get rid of the loading FMV full stop, it takes longer to play than my PC dos to load the level. I often get a very quick preview of Shep standing before the FMV starts.

ME 2 was really, really bad for his.

Actually, I just wish Bioware would release a dedicated PC version, not some half baked console port.
