Just curious, I've been looking around for some way to keep Bethany/Carver usable in the party after Act 1, but haven't found anything searching on my own.  Is there any method for re-enabling them out there?

I'm similarly curious if there's a way to include Tallis, but keeping whichever appropriate sibling around is what I'd really like to do.

Edit: ....and D'OH, I figgered out how to do it with the Console, at least for the siblings, within 10 minutes of posting this.  Don't I feel silly.  Still curious if there's a way to enable Tallis, though.

I never found out if there was a proper way to add Tallis, other than something silly like starting her dlc and using the console to return to kirkwall (didn't test if you could properly start other quests like that since I did this after having completed everything).

I believe this is the mod you want:

http://www.nexusmods...age2/mods/3297/

It's called "Simple Summoning" and has a very large number of creatures, NPCs, and other characters that you can summon in place of the Dog companion. This includes Tallis.

Hmm, but if it's a replacement for the dog, then doesn't that mean I still couldn't control or customize her?

"Customize" in what sense? Weapons and armor? If so, then no, she'll have her standard gear. The author has tweaked some things like that though to make NPCs actually useful in combat, so don't get the idea that she'd be completely weak. Going by the ones I've used from that mod, most are fairly decent in combat. Not the best, of course, but you take what you can get. If you really want Tallis, this is the easiest way.

From the mod's description page, note the bold section:

"Simple Summoning replaces your summoned mabari will a fully functional character of your choice. This is not just a vanilla morph retex. These are the REAL characters. I've added new customized abilities, animations, equipment and tactics - how much depends on the NPC and game demands."

So they are capable fighters in their own right, but you can't give them your own weapons or anything like that.

Basically, I'd like to use her as a normal party member.  So for example be able to build her talents and stats, and yes, non-armor equipment choices (or even just accessories, assuming her weapons would still be locked, like Varric's is), and to be able to control her in combat or use her for lockpicking and traps in place of another rogue.  It's not necessarily about Tallis specifically, as it is just increasing my party options.

Not sure if that's possible, unfortunately.
