Human Inquisitor: Yes its true! I'am the chose one!
Dwarf Inquisitor: That's right and Andraste requires gold. Lots and lots of gold!
Dalish Inquisitor: Call me that one more time shem. I dare you...
Qunari Inquisitor: Who da faq is Andraste?
Human Inquisitor: Yes its true! I'am the chose one!
Dwarf Inquisitor: That's right and Andraste requires gold. Lots and lots of gold!
Dalish Inquisitor: Call me that one more time shem. I dare you...
Qunari Inquisitor: Who da faq is Andraste?
For the Vashoth, I think you mean 'frak', right?
As for the title, I imagine a non-Andrastian protagonist could have little interest in being associated as Andraste's Herald; a Dalish views her as simply as a war leader and not a religious figure, while a Dwarven protagonist might believe in the Stone and not in the Andrastian faith, and a Vashoth could be atheist and believe there is no god or higher power.
Given what Weekes said about consideration being taken for a religious Andrastian or atheist character, I suspect there will be choices involved in whether or not the player embraces or rejects the title of Herald.
If people want to worship me as some kind of religious prophet I'm more than happy to let them, Heck my Qunquisitor will encourage it. Nothing like a bit of Divine legitimacy to give me A cacus belli for my "holy wars" =D.
Lol dwarven herald of andraste.
I love the Qunari's line.
Not sure if anyone is familiar with the musical... but Wicked has a song that the Wizard sings along the lines of Augustei implies.
If they want me to be worshiped... then I suppose worshiped I must be. It will be a burden... can you add another pillow? To carry such a weight... more wine please. But I think I will be able to be the god they need me to be. What is this you swine?! Wool!? I demanded silk... you slack jawed savage. Guards... take him away.
*ahem* Yes, it will be a struggle.
"The Herald demands cake..lots of cake."
or
"If the belief that I'm Andraste's Herald gives people the hope they need in these dark times I'll gladly embrace the role."
My Dwarf will just laugh at the title and run with it, I might even try to roleplay him a little as pro Andraste.
I dunno. I know at least one of my Inquisitors will claim the role and actively use it for the sole purpose of reducing infighting. And possibly promoting mage equality, if that character turns out to be a mage.
Another will laugh it off, probably my Dwarf male, while my Dalish female will constantly have to say "No, I am not Andraste's Herald, nor do I have any interest in undergoing some form of painful ritual to become Andraste's Herald. Mind if we focus on the demon killing problem?"
My male dalish mage will be very open minded. He doesn't believe in Andraste or the maker, but if he will receive some 'divine' power from time to time he will accept it. He also doesn't mind how people will call him. He only hopes he will be remembered through his deeds, and not his titles.
Inquisitor: I AM not the Herald!
Cass: Only the true Herald would deny his divinity.
Inquisitor: I'm telling you, I'm not the Herald!
Leli: I say you are sir, and I should know, I've followed a few.
Given Herald of Andraste is code for Player Character, I'd say Cassandra and Leliana are correct.
When I eventually get around to running a dudequisitor his name will just be Harold.
So his response will be "that's my name don't wear it out"
Inquisitor: I AM not the Herald!
Cass: Only the true Herald would deny his divinity.
Inquisitor: I'm telling you, I'm not the Herald!
Leli: I say you are sir, and I should know, I've followed a few.
Inquisitor: "What! What sort of chance does that give me!? Alright, I am the Herald!"
Bow down to your new God and be spared.
My Adaar would start with horror and deny such a weird assumption at first, but then will probably use it to her advantage or most likely use it to cause mischief and mayhem.
One has to be careful with assuming the divine will mantle. Otherwise you'll end up with Crusades Exalted Marches in your name, which can get annoying when they are actually not something you want. As in the time period between first and second Dune books where Paul is completely powerless to stop his own troops from executing galaxy wide campaign in his name.
I would prefer to stay away from it, or at least make sure I can keep zealots in check.
My character Reaction:
My Quanari playthrough likes this ^... I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species, and I realised that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment; but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply, and multiply, until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer on this planet, you are a plague, and we...are the cure.
For the Vashoth, I think you mean 'frak', right?

Qunari Warrior:
"Yes, I am. Andraste also demands that you submit to the Qun."
