I agree. I think it's stupid, but we can't do anything about it, so I'm just gonna roll with it.

I'm having a hard time seeing how they could possibly make this race-gating thing palatable to players.  All it is going to do is make people upset.

 

Hopefully they don't do this again in future games.

 

People are gonna be upset regardless, but if it's the kind of story Bioware wants to tell then they should be allowed to do it

Doesn't one of the gender gates ones have to be gated since both the bisexual ones we know, we know aren't race gated, and we know at least one of the revealed ones so far is race gated?

Tell you the truth idk if one of the Devs actually said it was one of the confirmed ones and one of the unknown ones, if they did I'd like to know, it may just be a fan theory

I always said that if they were going to add set sexualities for the sake of "realism" then they better add race locking because people don't like other people for even more fickle reasons then whats down there. 

 

So I support this 120%  If we don't go back to unset sexuality then this better be here to stay especially in a world as racist as Thedas.

my theory behind that is that it was PR talk, we could be right and Bioware would still tells us we are wrong since they haven't announced it themselves yet, prime example Square Enix said they had no plans for a Kingdom Hearts 2.5 and sales for 1.5 would determine if they would make one. 1 week later they announced 2.5 and turns out it had been in development for a while. In other words develpers will deny deny deny till they announce it themselves in a public statement not on Twitter

I'm pretty sure about Vivienne. But I fear Cullen might be one (and that will ruin my Female Vashoth Mage romance). Dorian are from Tevinter so maybe him.

Lol, just found out Sera was a dedicated Lesbian. Poor male elf PCs just can't catch a break, that's two games now where they have to make due with human women. 

 

As for race gating. I could see Cullen and Cassandra being the gated ones since they're straight up dedicated Andrastians. Could also see Solas if he is romance able being tied to elf only. Like someone else mentioned earlier in a world as racist as Thedas kind of surprised there isn't more race-gating.
