I,for one, would like to see Scythes introduced to DA:I. I have always been a fan of bladed Staffs than regular, gem on the top staffs. The "Magister's Scythe" we got in DA2 was a just long battle ax. The blades themselves on the scythes shouldn't be too ridiculous and big. And they should still have a very mage/magical look to them, rather then weapons that should belong to warriors. Like these below....

Or you just want to go big......

Scythes are never gonna happen, I think. I don't believe we'll ever be seeing any Crescent Roses in DA. :P

The scythe shown was only a farming tool and would really be pointless to take into a fight, there were variations that were meant specifically for battle, but they look nothing like the traditional tool we see

I knew there was a reason I looked at that guy and the phrase 'combat gardener' sprang to mind. He even has a pokey bit on the end to help with planting seeds.

I'm just going to bring my shovel to battle. A screaming lunatic apostate wielding a shovel.

I would love to see pole arms like the Glaive (Similar to the Japanese Naginata) and Halberd and such in the game.

There were plenty of bladed staffs in DA 2 so I'm sure we'll see most of them return as well as new ones. They won't be used for physical attacks however, their appearance is purely cosmetic.

There are even staffs that look like they've come right out of an anime. For example, this one:

Don't underestimate Qunari engineering. They have scythes. They have gunpowder. They just need to combine the two. :D

I'm gonna look like a fool if they literally put Crescent Rose in the game. :P

Combat Shovels do exist. They're multi-tools. Entrenching Tools :P

That must be why the Templars killed that one farmer in Redcliffe. They say they were just being careful and eliminating mages, but in truth they feared the mighty power of a shovel fighter. :P

I would love scythes in the game. I don't care how impractical they may be, this is a high-fantasy game.

While I'm generally not fond of scythes as weapons in video games, it's kinda ironic complaining about scythes as a mage weapon when they otherwise use sticks to fight. At least they'd look less suspicious with a farming tool. :P
