Okay, first off: Please please please for the love of Andraste do not hijack this thread to complain about how you wanted to romance Varric specifically. Pretty sure the Varric character thread has you covered if that's what you'd like to do.

 

So, with the announcement that Varric will not be romanceable, it occurs to me that there has never been a romanceable dwarf companion. While I understand that that Varric and Oghren were off-limits for story-reasons (as well as animation difficulties, I assume), I find this a little sad. I'm going to assume that the pool of ladies who want to romance dwarves and/or dudes shorter than themselves is pretty small, but if the resources become available, it would be nice to be the tall one in the relationship for once. Not all dudes have to be tall and heroic to be attractive. I also think it would be pretty neat to get to interact more with the dwarven culture surrounding relationships.

I suggest playing a female qunari. I'm pretty sure they're taller than male humans.

I'm all in favour of romanceable dwarves. But what I actually want to do is be able to play a dwarf and romance another dwarf, so height difference doesn't really come into it.

 

I've waited fifteen years so far; I figure it will happen some day. At this point, the gender of the dwarf is beside the point for me.

I´m pretty sure BIo can make a Dwarf/Human/Qunari romance, they just don´t want to do the required work for it.

Dearves are not short guys. In DAO, that role was filled by elves. A male elf is barely as tall as Leliana. Zevran was a short male LI.
