No, I'll be sticking to my playthroughs.
Are you retconning any past stories when you play The Keep?

I replayed them all over the summer as a refresher. I think the only thing I may change is Bethany going to the Circle instead of the Wardens as in hindsight, it's the only real way I could justify siding with the mages as my preferred "screw Orsino and Meridith, I'm going to see if I can help anyone at the Chantry," wasn't an option. There's also the slightly meta reason that Bethany is much happier and less bitter with that outcome.
That's about it really.

I've played quite a few DAO and DA2 games and they're all pretty blurred together in my mind. I don't know what I did in each play through anymore. I'll definitely be tweaking things.

Same here. I only have a firm grasp on my most recent Warden, and I didn't even finish the game with her, so I'll have to fill in the blanks based on what she would have done.
What I like about the Keep, though, is that it'll give me a chance to do some things I never had the guts to follow through with in-game. Like recruiting Loghain, for instance; in all but one playthrough I killed him, and I'm curious to see what, if anything, that means for the Inquisition. I only wish there was more than 5 Keep world states slots to play around with. I'll have to do a lot of fiddling.

For my part I don't need to change anything ! my warden and hawke will stay true to their events, i wont be changing anything to fit DAI story ,in fact i wanna see how its gonna play with my background story imported ! ![]()

Gonna undo my mistake of having Sigrun die.

I think the only real thing I'm gonna undo is killing off the entire Sabrae clan just because I wanted to protect Merrill >.> In hindsight, that wasn't such a good decision, and I had no idea that there was a peaceful outcome. Other than that, pretty much nothing. in fact I might "add" things to my playthroughs as opposed to retcon, like hunting down Gaxkang, if that is a relevant decision, which I still think it is, since We were able to hunt down Xebenkeck in DA2 and since
I'm gonna say that the Forbidden Ones will play a part in Inquisition somehow, if the Keep even offers us an option for "Hunted Gaxkang" and "Hunted Xebenkeck"

I'm struggling with a few things:
- My Amell freeing Jowan VS letting him redeem himself by saving Connor in the Fade
- My Cousland killing Leliana at the Sacred Ashes VS intimidating her into backing down
- My diplomatic (but hardline Andrastian) warrior Hawke siding with Petrice against the Qunari VS fighting Petrice
- Recruiting Sebastian in worldstates where I let Anders live VS not recruiting him

Frankly, I don't even know if I have something that I can call a "canon" playthrough for import. Might be my female noble DW warrior (who broke up with Alistair, and let him and Anora co-rule) from DA:O, and some variation of Hawke that I can't even remember (he/she is a pretty forgettable character imo, but thats not her nor there).
So I guess I'll just use the keep to create some save-state that I'm happy with, and roll with that.
Speaking of, can I say how awesome this Keep thing is if it works as intended? No more import bugs (hopefully), and no need to do another 100 hour playthrough just to get one import in.

CHEERS FOR REMINDING ME OF THIS
Aye, they all died on me too. Bloody Merrill.
Gonna make sure they make it this time.

Yes, my canon storyline is an amalgamation of several playthroughs of DA:O and DA2 and will not be strictly based on the events of a single run. I probably won't have all the specifics nailed down until I'm actually creating the world in the Keep.

The only "canon" decision I agonized over was whether or not to leave Avernus alive in the Soldier's Peak DLC. I took the benefit of his research and flirted with the idea of letting him continue humane research, but human experimentation and torture are so unforgivable that I always end up executing him.
Harrowmont always seems to be such a bad choice in hindsight, but Bhelen is such a rhymes-with-trick that I can never sponsor him as king.

Oh yeah just remembered a few others. I accidently entered a romance and broke it off with Zervan, so just going to pretend that never happened. Also I might have played around with some variables in DA2 to create some impossible states during my "canon" playthrough for that. So I'll probably be unable to do any of those, so no dwarf expedition since Sebastian is alive and probably neither of the defend the roads or the farms quests follow up in DA2 (since my canon pick in Awakening is Defend Everything). Oh yeah I just remembered I edited my DA2 save so that both Loghain and Allister were Wardens, guess I won't get to find out how badly that breaks DAI.

Not really, except for bugs (like the game thinking Nathaniel is dead or Zevran wasn't romanced).
I might try a completely made up world state of the horrible, pointless options. Things like selling Fenris back into slavery or killing Bethany at the Gallows, since I could never stomach actually playing a character that vile.
Mistakes like Bethany dying in the Deep Roads, killing Merrill's clan or romancing Anders will have to stick. I already replayed my main Warden and Hawke to fix what I don't like anyway.

I'll most likely re-con my pro-mage playthrough to let Anders live. My mage Hawke killed him for lying to her and starting a war that would harm mages everywhere. Anders is not the reason for the ret-con...Sebastian raising a Starkhaven army to fight the mages is.

My biggest retcons are going to involve hooking my favorite playthroughs together into one narrative.
Exactly this.
Whether it matters or not, (probably not) but I'd like my Keep save to reflect that I saved the Halla, helped the Legion of the Dead, had some group fun times in the Pearl with Isabela, Leliana and Zevran.
Beyond the little details I find my decision making pretty consistent.
I always bring peace to the Brecilian forest, I always save the Circle and Kirkwall mages and that ambitious s**t Bhelen isn't getting the throne.
The only real knife-edged decisions are over the fates of Loghain, the Architect and Anders.
(probably will go, alive, alive and dead, my Warden was always more forgiving than my Champion.)

There's a few variables from my playthroughs I'd change, mostly for some variety, but my canon worldstate is one I'm very happy with. Most of my changes will probably be in my Awakening states. Some of them will need to reflect having the Orlesian Warden instead of the Hero of Ferelden, and my canon worldstate needs to have Velanna survive Awakening (the only reason she didn't is I needed Anders as my mage, and had to keep Sigrun so she wouldn't die and Nate so he'd be in DA2).

Hawke's class. I can't decide Mage or Rogue. This will in turn decide my Inquisitor's class which is also a toss up between Rogue or Mage.

I'm replaying through my canon to iron this stuff out for myself. Adding in things from DLC I didn't have in my initial playthrough and a few changes based on things I know better about my characters and the game itself. For the most part nothing major is changing, mostly small things that mostly wouldn't really reflect across games because the outcome is the same. One of the bigger things I've changed is that my Warden has now recruited Sten, when he originally left him in the cage. Surprised me when it happened, but it snapped together better from what I knew of my Warden this time around.
I think Awakening!Anders is getting recruited this time as well, although I haven't gotten there yet. I needed really convoluted headcanon to make DA2 Anders work in my canon, I think I should just fix that. Awakening in general, I'm hoping to clean up some little things because my canon playthrough was full of bugs that I'm pretty sure effected the outcomes. (Velanna's clan: Hey, follow us. Me: WHERE DID YOU GO... Also sorry Velanna I didn't know you were supposed to go with us into the mine...whoops.
)
