So there's a certain game called dragons dogma. In this game there is a quest where you have to rescue your damsel in distress. I love this quest to death from sneaking in the castle, protecting the girl while your party meets up with you at the escape route and the princess carry.

What I mean to say is I really hope the LI's quests could feel that powerful not just through story but through gameplay as well. I will say though that said damsel was not a great character.

Now what would be a great romantic quest for dragon age inquisition for you and what would you like to see? Sorry for my long winded story

You can only do the quest after or while you are in a romance and doesn't have to be a rescue mission

Eh, dunno about that. If it'd work like DAO's "Captured!" where you can play as the companions and rescue The Warden and Alistair, I'd be all for it though.

I really hope we do have a romantic sidequest in the game.

It doesn't have to be a rescue mission, just one with your li.

Edit: here's an example. Cassandra is not a woman who needs rescuing but it would be cool if you both were separated in a ambush and and have to fight your way toward each other. When you do you fight back to back and have a nice little romantic scene after it's over

Wow, playing as a straight female I did not encounter this quest....but I wouldn't mind if there was such a quest. however, if we have the option to put Cullen in Lelianas quest (as exampled) in which we would get to rescue our LI if we are romancing an LI that is an advisor.

I'm all for a quest that involves the romance option and it has to do with the romance

Kind of like the ME2 loyalty misssions only a little more personal. Not just a matter of kill a few mercs for me and I'm loyal forever.

Exactly, mass effect nearly had it but the fact is it's just a mission in the end and had nothing to do with romance.

kind of like a companion quest but its a quest you can do only after you are in a romantic relationship with that companion or adviser

By the way, the quote has the wrong quest linked. :P

Having a quest that varies based on romance would be good, so long as it's always available regardless of whether or not an LI is activated.

Hopefully the quest(s) won't have anything to do with anyone's parent/child.

Maybe the two find an abandoned child surrounded by enemies and after saving the kid you take him/her in.

If it was like Dragon's Dogma, then after completing the Duke's Manse____errrr, ummmm "hidden Skyhold dungeons", should it be with someone you don't consider your one twoo wub, we can hopefully (fingers crossed) lose all affinity by tossing them in the Waking sea.

*sheesh! That was one helluva long-ass sentence.* ;)

That would make it less special don't you think? If that were the case it would just be another mission.

Wasn't there a quest in da2 where your love interest got captured? (or lacking one, your sibling)

I think it was the other way around, actually. Your love interest was captured if your sibling was dead.

My mistake, you are right.

..You'd think if they already are making love interests an option, they'd do so if your sibling is out of kirkwall running around as a gray warden. How on earth did that group even find them?

As long as it doesn't involve literally carrying your LI, I'm all for it (yes, I'm looking at you, IB).

To make it even more ridiculous, your siblings change their Warden outfit to Templar/Circle clothes, and your LI loses his/her romantic armor.

I'unno how they found Carver but they goofed hard by putting him in danger considering he's my favorite character besides Varric...

...although my Hawke would jump into danger just as fast for Merrill.

I LOVE Dragon's Dogma, but that quest is not a prime example of a 'powerful romance quest'. The romance in those damsel quests are forced even if you are romancing someone else (not to mention it didn't really make sense for the princess to love you so suddenly when you think about it). I get what you mean though, and it was pretty cool to have that type of quest. There have been light variations of saving your LI in Dragon Age 2, when the templar and mages abduct your LI if your sibling is not alive.

I think what we'll most likely going to get are companion quests, which will have a romantic flavor if you're pursuing a romance (romantic in a rp-ing sense at least).
