Wow, playing as a straight female I did not encounter this quest....but I wouldn't mind if there was such a quest. however, if we have the option to put Cullen in Lelianas quest (as exampled) in which we would get to rescue our LI if we are romancing an LI that is an advisor.

Sending a LI to be captured so he or she can be rescued does sound a whole lot better than lighting a fire so you can put it out.  And while I'm sitting on my high horse, I'll recall that every time I romance Alistair I make sure to lose the Cauthrien fight so we can see the lockup together.  Oops.  Backing quietly out of the room now.

I'd be down with a "date" quest of some kind.

So there's a certain game called dragons dogma. In this game there is a quest where you have to rescue your damsel in distress. I love this quest to death from sneaking in the castle, protecting the girl while your party meets up with you at the escape route and the princess carry.

What I mean to say is I really hope the LI's quests could feel that powerful not just through story but through gameplay as well. I will say though that said damsel was not a great character.

Now what would be a great romantic quest for dragon age inquisition for you and what would you like to see? Sorry for my long winded story

You can only do the quest after or while you are in a romance and doesn't have to be a rescue mission

Yeah but that quest was odd for me. My Arisen was a straight female and she never romanced (gave gifts) to the Duchess. When I started the quest, suddenly my Arisen is in a cut scene with the Duchess and has sex with her. I laughed it off, but wow... what a weird oversight on Capcom's part.

I think it was the other way around, actually. Your love interest was captured if your sibling was dead.

I didn't know that, I couldn't allow Hawkes siblings to die. I even replayed the deep roads when I made the mistake of not taking Anders. Although there were times my femHawke wanted to beat Carver over the head she couldn't let Bethany or Carver die.

It's amazing how much I missed in the two games because of how I played and I played both games many times.

On subject though I would love a romance type of quest, I haven't play Dragons Dogma but I'm starting to think that I should. Also I would like to see something like the Citadel dlc were you could take your LI to the club (ball in this case) minus the plastic bag dress though, that was hideous.

I liked that quest in Dragon's Dogma for the design and the content of it (something about the princess carry was just fun... mostly the part where you could toss her!), but I too disliked the character you had to save. Romances in general were very sketchy in that game with most people not even realizing they were there at all! This quest would have been 100 times better if it happened to the actual character you were romancing. Though I could see how that would have been difficult.

In any DA game, this type quest would be much easier to incorporate for your romance partner. Carrying may not be realistic since there could be a drastic height difference and... IB... Probably couldn't lift him! Maybe they're injured and need to lean on your shoulder IDK. I like the idea of what you're suggesting though, a quest centering around saving your LI. That would be fun for sure! Plus, I always like quests and dialogue that distinguish your LI from your other companions.

Hey,

I would like Quest-Chains (!) that you get when taking on a love interest (but no: Save the damsel in distress - I don't feel much attraction to women who need rescuing/helpin all the time (I don't have a - stupid - need to feel like "a real man"...meaning I can handle a girl/woman doing her own stuff and doing it well, without constantly needing me...even more because I know she wants me to be there, for me - not because she needs a helper/daddy-figure/provider))

I mean look at the characters we have - they have interesting pasts and surely there are things they would like you to do or not do (hell, it would be nice doing something despite initial resistance from your LI - because you know it would help her (or him)...there are people who don't accept help (I like those - because they at least try on their own, even if it does not always work out in the end) etc. :)

greetings LAX

I always seem to like the parts where you have to rescue your companion or they rescue you. I guess it is a way to show hi far each will go for the other. I plan to romance Cullen in my first playthrough and I would love it if his personal quest involves the red Templars and then they target both of us later. Like there is the threat of being poisoned by the red lyrium.

Now, with what Lax said...I agree with that too. Having a LI take care of themselves is great. However, I believe they will show that greatly in the game. If they are captured, I believe they may get out in a position where it isn't going to be easy to escape. So, having someone so the rescuing isn't demeaning the LI or your character. It's just showing how far one is willing to go...even if one does escape, like in a possible case if Cullen or you is captured by Red Templars, there may be some feelings of violation to go through and some horrors. Where you or the LI can bring comfort.

She was easily the worst female li in that game, very 2 dimensional but the quest itself was great. I really would like some ideas for quests with your guys perfered character

I wasn't aware of this either. But in my defense I played DAO waaaaaaaaay more than DA2. :P

It doesn't have to be the Inquisitor saving their partner;it could be the player playing as the partner saving the Inquisitor. This is possible.

More than a complete "romantic" quest I'd like specific romantic dialogues in some missions. But I would love a "rescue mission" like Fort Drakon. One of my most loved mission, with escaping from the ship in KotoR.

sometimes is very fun using the companions, and give more importance to them. :)

Im hoping for a romance quest specific to the character:

Scribbles/Dorian-Take them to a ball as your date and show them off

Iron Bull/Cassandra-Something involving a battle

Sera/Iron Bull-Go out drinking

Eh, dunno about that. If it'd work like DAO's "Captured!" where you can play as the companions and rescue The Warden and Alistair, I'd be all for it though.

http://dragonage.wik.../wiki/Captured!

I thought 'Captured' was the most silliest quest in DA:O It was so simple to escape.

I'm picturing something along the lines of Bryce & Eleanor Cousland - without the death, hopefully.  Your LI is gravely injured, you're hopelessly outnumbered, but you know help is on the way.  They urge you to go, save yourself, you vow to keep them safe to the last of your strength/mana/whatever.  Depending on where you are in your relationship, the conversation could vary as you try to reassure them, etc.  I'm into the Grand Gesture myself, lol

Ugh thinking about this takes me back. One of the best missions I ever had to do was back in Star Wars: KOTOR. Saving your character on the Leviathan, after having a sit down on who it should be. The planning, and the whole nature of the mission was just awesome. I would definitely love to see more missions like this.
