So, I've played through most of the main campaign, getting up to the Temple of Seasons. But I got a new computer and lost my save.

Now, I'd rather just be able to skip ahead to the Temple, and continue the campaign from there, and the go on to Mask of the Betrayer. Is there any way to do this?

I came here intending to post a very similar question.  I mostly just cannot suffer the excruciating beginning of the game and would probably play non-stop if I could just get to the part where the party first enters Neverwinter.  By then, you have Neeshka in tow and will shortly meet Sand and Qara.  it just takes so freaking long piddling around trying to get to Neverwinter to get the story moving. Please Help!!!

The thing is, the OC uses a lot of variables to keep track of plot states, and it would be very difficult to track them all down and make sure they're set properly for that spot in the game.  Much more practical would be to take someone's saved game from that spot and edit the player character to match what you want to play.

Go on.  *tenting fingers and listening with keen interest*

Well, if that's something you want to try, then I'll dig up one of my saves from just after reaching Neverwinter and put it up for download.  From there I think someone else will have to point you to instructions for how to change the main character's race, class, appearance, etc.  The procedure has been outlined on the forum here, but I only did it once, too long ago to recall which tool I used and what I changed.

Here it is.  Just unzip the folder in your Saves folder.  I can't guarantee this file will be available forever.

This is a save from just arriving in Neverwinter for the first time, after the cutscene that happens when you arrive.  This was from my first playthrough.  My character is a sun elf druid with a custom head and hair that you may need to change if you don't have the same mods installed.  Keep in mind that if you change the alignment to something evil, my good deeds from earlier in the game may come back to haunt you.

I don't know what Luministrus did, but I just started over and blew through it with a character more to my liking.  Now I can pal around with the cool henchmen. :P
