I would like Bioware to release a DLC that allows us to have them both as companions.

Mainly it would need to be dlc so they can record dialog as well as figure out how our warden communicates, wouldnt be bad if we can basically make both choices during a dialog.

if not companions at least have a Main quest branch into dealing with a problem they have.

If we're getting Warden/Hawke DLC, I'd rather it be a campaign one where you play as them.

Speaking of which, I thought I saw really quickly in one of the demos/trailers the Inquisitor walking alongside a female mage Hawke. The person walking by the Inquisitor was wearing the mage champion armor, was the female default face, and had the blood marked across her nose like both default Hawkes had.

As Quizzy/Hawke/Warden doing a mission that needs only the 3 of them. Not a bad idea. ^_^

Kind of like Omega DLC where you had Aria and Nyreen as your temporary squadmates.

I don't think we will need an DLC, the warden and Hawke will likely be companions for an big boss battle at least, considering the latest trailer. Wich will either be sung by the bards for centuries or go down as an poorly done fan service.

This is a terrible idea and in the end everyone would hate it because "My Warden would never say that", etc.

That was confirmed to be Hawke.

If Hawke is not playable, I hope that Hawke keeps the dominant personality in Inquisition, diplomatic, sarcastic or blunt/aggressive.

Good point. I didn't think of this.

Nah, their story has been done. The cameos we are suppose to be getting in DAI is enough I feel.

I would, respecfutlly decline. I'm far more interested in knowing what the new companions will be like.

It would be cool if it could be done right, but unfortunately I don't think it can. Hawke might be able to be pulled off, but I highly doubt it for the Warden.

I think someone asked David Gaider about this on tumblr and he said something along the lines of "This isnt Dragon Age: Origins 2" (I forget exactly what he said)

I think it would be pretty interesting to have all three protagonists as part of a party for a separate short DLC side story.  As for the main story my gut feeling is that at best they could make interesting temporary companions for certain story moments (depending on player choice), but are probably better suited as completely separate NPC's.

Theres no way to do this perfectly. It would be like "Hey, my hawke hates elves and only deals with dwarfs so why is he swimming with a giraffe" Every one that has made there previous characters to have a personal code and ethics will be disappointed as I doubt their character will do everything that their character "would" do in that situtation. It's all going to end with Biowares blood (Not my own doing but the many members of BSN out there with a bloodlust).

I agree with pretty much everyone when they say they don't want an, at least lengthy, return of Hawke and the Warden. Because I would definitely be on board with the people who will go "my old character would never do that"

It'll be great if they return, just not for a long amount of time. It's the Inquisitor's time to shine.

It is the Inquisitor's time to shine, but I think it would be cool if we had a small segment where we got to play as Hawke and the Warden, before they joined the Inquisitor for a short thing and all the dialogue we get out of them that we don't control is the dialogue shouted in battle as was done in Origins and DA2.

No real conversations, except for Hawke who could respond only in the dominant personality that carried over from DA2, or from playing as Hawke for a very brief segment.

I think it's a great idea if we got the three heroes of the Dragon Age to work together to fight the big bad, and only for fighting the big bad, but I also think it'll be very hard to pull off.

I do know that no matter how it's done, it's going to ****** someone off simply because there are so many fans.

Somewhat of a gross exaggeration.  There may be members out there with a very vocal opinion on what "their Warden" would or wouldn't do, but ultimately they don't speak for everyone on the BSN let alone the audience in general for Dragon Age.  I seriously doubt the inclusion of the Warden would be met with as much ire as some would like to believe.

Having them as companions for a particularly tough and epic boss-battle, yes please. Companions for an entire DLC or expansion could ruin a lot of head-canons though.
