I just grabbed Artificer for my archer. I did Assassin with Hella, and Tempest confuses me, haha. Also for RP reasons. I didn't use Varric much, so I have no idea how artificer works, but even if I don't use much of it, Archer is so fun even without the specialization tree I'm excited.

...unless its terrible, then I have time to change it, haha. Anyone try it out yet?

Only with Varric and I find it fun trolling enemies to death.

It shines as a damage dealer if you got someone who can rack up critical hits since that lowers cooldown times on all your talents but comes into it's own in confined spaces where those mines are inescapable.

I'm playing as templar dwarf right now. I had racial dialogue with Ser, the templar spec person. The spec is really good for fighting demons and raising morale for my comrades. Between Blackwall and I, we're deadly. Other cut scenes are changing also because of me being an templar, like Cullen's personal quest.

With Assassin I got a funny convo with Dorian (I laughed so hard) and a sweet convo with Leli. Knight Enchanter had a fun one with Viv and an interesting one with Solas.

I assume Varric comments on Artificer, I wonder if anyone else does.

I imagine your dwarf would be quite the tank.

I'm more inclined to roll Reaver myself.

As a Tempest I had a really nice convo with Iron Bull in which he compared alchemy to Quanari Cannons

Yea I heard Varric has a lot to say about the Artificer. Dorian has a flirtation comment with the Templar or just Lyrium has a strong effect on people.

I'm a jerk and I want to do Cullen with a Mage and Solas with a Templar, lmfao. Maximum drama!!!!

..altho I am doing Solas right now with a Knight Enchanter Lavellan. She was designed for Cullen actually, but I found his romance kind of lacking and decided I'd probably just want to do one elf lady anyway, so I went back to an earlier save.

I'm kinda working 2 playthroughs at the same time, some how  , but one of them is a female dwarf warrior.  Gotta say, this game needs more dwarf.  I know the official stance is that there are not that many dwarves on the surface to have them around a lot as NPCs or Companions, but I call bull on that.  Seriously, Verrick could have easily been an important NPC to the campaign and a he could have recommended picking up a fem dwarf he knew from the Merchant's Guild for the Inq.  She could easily been an important member of the Guild with contacts and a penchant for engineering to have her as an Artificer.  Bang-boom, dwarf Companion.  I'm all for Verrick and Cassandra, but I think they would have been better off as NPCs.  Cullen would have made a better warrior companion, as he really IS a templar, and Cass is a Seeker, no templar powers there, so her having the spec makes really no sense.  Still, I just want to point out reasons for more dwarf companions   !

monies on mounts, and it's pretty expensive, right?

I would have loved Sigrun as a companion, but she wanted to died as a Legion of the Dead. So, I was rooting for her  to accomplish what she wanted. Oh Awakening, where you could have a almost all dwarven party.

Also I got a schematic for an awesome bow from Cullen's rogue schematics perk. I just need some good tier 3 metal - and it will be glorious (it's over 130 dps).

 

What's better for a bow - armor pen or flanking dmg?

Hrm maybe I should get that perk. I don't like how Olim looks in the dragon armor, sadly, and with Hella I used it a lot since it was often the best armor schematic I had until later on.

Actually I'm about to do the ball. I bet he will look dapper as heck in the formal attire, I'll just do that.

Armor pen! Varric helps with getting rid of the shield on the enemies. Veeia, how do you make money, because I want to also buy the Templar schematic, but it's like 9k.
