I imported a Brosca/Morrigan romance. No mention of the warden being a dwarf from both Morrigan and her son. It was really weird to see Kieran react to my dwarf inquisitor as he did, considering that his dad is a dwarf.

Yeah, I dunno why Bioware did that. Would it have been so hard to say "You're a Dwarf, just like Father."?

How did he react? Turns out that even though I got the Morrigan bugged romance dialogue, it was limited to that one conversation (where she hands the letter over). I never saw the kid or anything like that.

I don't remember exactly what it was (I looked on youtube and didn't find a dwarf talking to her yet), but it was something along the lines of giggling/smiling/being amused that the inquisitor was a dwarf. It wasn't mean, just a kid being a kid. But what was weird was that dwarves (especially a dwarven man) shouldn't be a source of amusement at this point, if his dad (who Morrigan said helped him raise him) was a dwarf.

I suppose it doesn't surprise me much ultimately, there were a lot of cases where phrasing was awkward if you're a dwarf (imagine the same for the other non-human races). I have half expected/wanted that Varric/Dagna/Inquisitor/Dwarven characters used "we" or "us" when discussing dwarves together.

Welp, good news is I got the video recorded and it took even less time to go through the servant's quarters than I expected (well, having Cheat Engine make my attacks crazy enough to one-shot everything helped save a lot of time :P). Bad news is YouTube's being a pain with uploading. I'll try to upload it in the morning. I realize some dwarf dancing vids were already shared, but meh - I like sharing Dorn anyway. :)

I don't post much, but I am always checking this thread because I love seeing everyone's dwarves and I love how positive the vibe is. Stay fabulous, everyone. :D Hugs to you all!

Yeah, you're right.

I finally beat the game at 133 hours. If Hissing Waste didn't have dwarven content, i would have abandoned that area and gone straight to the last quest because I was dying to know how it ended. I decided not to sweat creating the Inquisitor armor. The Legion of the Dead one holds up very well and it's especially unique for us so I was proud to wear that to the end. I'm happy with how the epilogue was implemented. A major improvement over the last two games.

Even though Blackwall doesn't make sense with Cadash's background, I still like him a lot. Plenty of door frames in Skyhold for him to lean against now that the game's over. =D

I'm rather disappointed with the Dwarven Helmet the game gives us. It's not at all like the ones Renvil's bodyguards were wearing or like the Legion's helmet. It looks off to wear it and the Legion Armor together.

Blackwall doesn't make sense? I thought he made the most sense for Cadash, haha. Unless you mean the lack of meaningful dialogue options pertaining to certain things after his quest, then yeah, I was bummed about that. But I looooove Blackwall/Cadash.

...and Cadash/everyone.

Including Solas.

Stupid race gated Solas!!! *shakes fist*

In the final battle, the main antagonist called my dwarf Inquisitor a "runted dirt-worshipper."

She was NOT pleased.

Here she is throwing some major shade to illustrate her displeasure.

To be fair to Cullen, sound judgement is not traditionally a dwarven virtue in Dragon Age. See: Paragon of Her Kind, 99 percent of Orzammar, Bartrand, various Carta shenanigans, etc.  It's sort of like meeting a human-tolerant and cheerful elf: it happens, but it's gonna be called out when it does because it's not precisely common to the average Thedosian's experience.

This pleases me greatly.

In a masochistic way, ofc. I wonder what he says to the other races?

Maybe the amusement was at a dwarf being the Herald of Andraste since we have every reason to expect that Morrigan's taught him to be cynical about religions?

I love the unique looking characters! It's nothing wrong with making pretty/handsome characters, but I think your Cadash tops every character I have seen, including my very own character lol.

Agreed.  She is the most realistic looking Carta thug dwarf I've seen yet.  She would be terrifying to run into in a dark alley.  Very intimidating and cool looking.

I agree with Varric, sometimes you just have to move on. Stop worrying about the past and make a new future. Although I am still curious about the dwarven lore that we have yet to be shown. Also it would be cool if the Surface dwarves created a surface dwarf town and or city.

Yea I agree 100%. The dwarves complain about the darkspawn, but they continue to stay down there. I know you want to be warriors, and not coward away from protecting your home, but think of the kids. The dwarves' population is always on a hold when they're losing men and women to the darkspawns. Enough with this casteless system. Allow for someone to prove themselves if you really want to have stay close to traditions. Thedas is changing, while the dwarves remains the same, but maybe Bhelen would change some things, but if he haven't done it in ten years, then he probably wasn't the best candidate.
