"Are all dwarves such comedians, or just you and Varric?" Just got this line from Cass.

So did I. It was amazing.

Whoo! Dancing video has been uploaded:

Spoiler

Dorn looks awesome!

Though it's so weird for me to see a Dwarf with Nasir's voice. It's just so..... weird. I've grown so fond of that voice for my Dwarf lol.

pls someone regale me with your aeducan x morrigan headcanons

for reasons

Hmmmm... what were my Aeducan/Morrigan headcanons?

Well, my DN was curious about ancient Dwarven history (the truth that is, rather then cover-ups) and so he and Morrigan made an effort to research what they could. He also had an Eluvian transported to Orzammar so that he could easily move between the Crossroads and there to handle affairs of state every now and then, though most of the time he left the duties to Nerav Helmi (his queen there), Darius Brosca, Gorim, and a few other close Dwarven confidants. Nerav helped ensure stability with progression while also directing other things (in fact, she had sent my Cadash his instructions to go to the Conclave, as my DN would've done the same thing anyway. There's a letter drabble I wrote in my Nasir or Nasir_Cadash tag on tumblr).

My Aeducan was very much a reformer, but manipulative as all hell. If it advanced his interests for the Dwarven people, he'd do it. But he's also a good person at heart. And unlike Bhelen, he's not a hack. Oh, Bhelen's not a bad ruler, but he's far too obvious in what he does.

Thankfully said Orzammar Eluvian could only be accessed from the outside by those who knew the right words to activate the runes inscribed in the door. And only three people know those words. Him, Nerav, and Morrigan.

I dunno any other of my headcanons. I suppose it's the kind of thing I'd need specific questions for because I never really gave this much thought.

Also, question to the Blackwallers in this thread.

That was superb. Dwarven males come across as very masculine and burly so they seem to gain an extra air of authority about them.

Figured I'd kill dragons and sell loot to raise money for Inquisitor cover armor. Got the armor from a dragon. I still went and bought the schematic, obviously, but it made me laugh.

I wonder if we are heading north, do you think we might visit Kal'Sharok?

I am excited about tevinter dwarfs if we go there, since they are unlike other surface dwarves as they are considered part of their house by the tevinter government and have a great deal of power in tevinter because they can blackmail the magisters by not giving them lyrium that they need for their magic. They have a really cool function in Tevinter, not to mention they are considered ambassadors and all.

@TEWR -- I'm unclear on that for Blackwall. I've googled to see what others have said and they don't even know, even after beating the game with that specific choice since there's no follow-up after. I don't think the writer participates in the fan thread. Probably have to wait for Varric's autobiography.

Edit: While we're on the subject of Blackwall, here's one of mine -- does Blackwall ask a male dwarf about his Carta background?

Edit 2: I'm sure everyone's aware of the recent patch messing up graphics. Mainly shiny hair. It's a good thing I beat the game last night because I also had the shock of seeing my facial scars being completely gone. (I was reloading older saves to check on some dialogue.)

Blackwall mentions that the dwarven (both genders) Inquisitor doesn't exactly have the cleanest background.

I missed this on my first playthrough, but I just got the on-the-road banter with Varric about the Inquisitor being part of the carta.

I remember Blackwall asking a few things about the Carta to Nasir. This was a while ago so I don't recall the exact things, but it was basically just talking about our criminal background.

Yea I have a feeling we're heading north. I would like to meet or be a Kal-Sharok dwarf, if don't continue as our inquisitor( :( ). Maybe that's when we will get some more stories about dwarves in general. No stereotype dwarves up there, but again, there is nothing wrong with a drunk two-handed sex-machine dwarf.

Yea, Gilsa. I was accidentally rude to him. I told him my carta life is none of his business. I'm trying to figure out how to get his personal quest.

Blackwall hates my male dwarf so bad I can't get his quest, hahaha. But I assume he does. I want to get it though! I hear he tells some weird story about a dog on an unromanced PT, but I have yet to have a character besides Hella that he likes. (He hates my elf even more, he hates her SO MUCH.)

Oh yes, he will tell you that story about the dog. And it's.... not what you'd expect for a fireside chat (that's a dialogue option).

By the way, does Blackwall's tarot card change to him riding a griffon against the Darkspawn regardless of whether you set him free or tell him to join the Wardens afterwards? If his tarot card has different images depending on his fate, that'd be interesting.

And I'd take him riding a griffon as basically saying he will pass his Joining.

I think they're the same regardless of your choice. The wiki shows four different tarot cards for him: http://dragonage.wik.../wiki/Blackwall

Hey,

I'm glad I found this thread. I really enjoyed the dwarf lore and the politics we got to see in Origins and always enjoyed the dwarf noble and casteless origins. I was really pleased when it was announced that we'd be able to play a dwarf again in Inquisition.

I was wondering are they're any mentions of Brosca/Aeducan being paragons in Inquisition? I haven't imported my dwarf wardens yet, been playing my King (consort) Cousland world states first.

Thanks in advance.

Brosca is mentioned as a paragon when I went to the palace. There are carta dwarves there talking about dwarfy stuff.

Hello, everyone! I came back out of my hole and wanted to pop in and say that dragon hunting is freaking hard! I don't know if this was planned by Bioware or its just my bad luck but the dragons ALWAYS seemed to target me (the dwarf). No matter what I did it, took me out first! Not fair. :( -End Rant-

Anywho, on a lighter note everyone's dwarves look fantastic and hopefully mine can stand with all of yours. :)

@KathTea - LOVE IT!!

I love the unique looking characters! It's nothing wrong with making pretty/handsome characters, but I think your Cadash tops every character I have seen, including my very own character lol.

Agreed.  She is the most realistic looking Carta thug dwarf I've seen yet.  She would be terrifying to run into in a dark alley.  Very intimidating and cool looking.

DAWW YOU GUYZ.  <3

Rl9Pq.gif

I tried to model her after myself and what I'd do if I were a Carta dwarf (self-insert much?).

This is my real face.

Up close shot for comparison.

I do cosplay and model so I hope I could recreate Catina one of these days!

Am I the only one who's annoyed at how a lot of the shards are in these impossible to normally access areas that require you to basically platform with a jump control that -- in all reality -- is not meant for this kind of thing?

Wow, that is some serious CC talent. Hat's off to ya. You're definitely going to have to share more pictures of Cadash as you progress in your game.

Thanks.

I'm looking forward to playing my dwarf world states.

A dwarf warden import into a Cadash game also yields bonus content in the letter from the warden as well. Just a small touch, but very nice to have.

I love the dwarf content at the ball. I've done three imports with different WS and gotten fun comments with each of them.

Jesus, Harrowmount and Branka are never living again in any PT of Origins.

No. There was this one zone that was just awful because of all the levels that you couldn't tell if it was on the ground, the middle, or top of that impossibly high rock. It was a small zone, yeah, but STILL. I'd rather get the spread out ones since I can at least ride the nug mount for a bit.

Goes without saying! Dwarf laaaaaaadies. We always need more.

I also like the mosaic dwarf. Gatsi? I haven't finished any yet so I haven't heard much from him...does he talk more if you do?
