Yea!! I'm glad I'm not the only one who mistake things for deep mushroom or Elfroots. At first I wasn't too sure either, but now I just think that the person that was playing took the picture with the game angle kind of down, so they could show the upper part of the ruins. I'm not sure if I'll make Hawke rival with Varric or not, lol. I want my dwarf to be his best bud!!! 

 

I try to do rival friend ships and besides merril I just cant bring myself too. Varric to me is impossible to rival, I just cant bring myself to be mean to the guy!

Rivalry with Varric is awful, because he just gets distant and passive agressive. I'm not a fan of the rival experience generally, but it seems like he has the least satisfying (albeit realistic) content there. Do not recommend!

Yea I watched his rival friendship on youtube out of curiosity and didn't like it, although some of the banter with him is funny when he puts hawk in her/his place!

We didn't get our character creation  , but we did get a area that our character would probably have a lot of backstory chained to.

I did like it when Mike said that you could have a brand on your surface dwarf, so you can decide their backstory. Sounds like we'll have a lot of flexibility on that...I thought we'd be more limited by the backstory, so that's cool!

Yea I was excited about that also, and kind of surprised. I thought we were probably born on the surface.

Not sure if it specifies, but House Cadash was a warrior house back in Shale's time at least.

Cadash are a crime family now. It's not uncommon for, say the mafia, to allow low level members into the family buisness even if they aren't blood related. Not to worried about this it just means that our PC is a productive member of the family buisness.

Yea that was a while ago, so I would think that House Cadash was already on the surface. Which comes down to that our Cadash was already on the surface, which means he really wasn't casteless to begin with, unless he tried to go back to the dwarves and live with them,

Maybe you could play it as.... there's still Cadash in Orzammar, but your character's father/mother was casteless? So they kept the Cadash (father's/mother's) name and went to the surface because they'd have more opportunities there?

Yea and I noticed when they first entered the area, varric and Cassandra were talking. I think cassandra asked about the place and it "sounded" like varric knew something. So note to self, bring varric!

You know alot of peeps on bsn are pissed at the hair options for female Qunari and while the options arnt amazing I am glad the Dwarfs seem alot better heck humans have better options lol.
