I thought I read a similar comment about the PJs being a bug, but the poster didn't back it up with a link or a quote so I refrained from passing that on. I hope that gets patched, oh boy oh boy!  (One funny rumor I heard prior to launch was that if you kept the default character name, the NPCs in the game would call you by that name instead of Inquisitor. As far as I know, that turned out to be false. Not a bad idea though.)

 

Anyway I noticed a neat outfit on a dwarf in the Haven camp and thought that would have been a good alternative to pick from for Skyhold gear. You know, toggle between whatever outfit you'd prefer to walk around in.

 

I always enjoy his banter with the soldier!

Hello everyone!

Today i finished my 3rd playthrough and i must say that i felt like i’m most connected to my Dwarf Quizzy and Vashoth Quizzy, in my case this is really surprising because in previous or other games if i have a chance to roll as a human or alternatively as an elf i will choose that option, so it seems that in Inquisition from now on i will play only as a Dwarf or Vashoth Quizzy.

Below if anyone is interested is my Ferdan Cadash (Rogue Archer/Tempest, because he is like a volcano, in a good way of course), he is in his mid 40, he doesn’t look like typical dwarf, because he spend almost all of his life on surface, thus he adapted more „humany“ way of hygiene

In the post they linked a dev twitter reply. Granted, the way it was worded was more along the lines of "this is an issue we're aware of" etc and it was interpreted by the modders as to mean "it's a bug"; can't say that it's the case, but it would make sense to me if it is. Either way, hopefully they're able to change it or at the least modders get some color retexturing done so at least the pjs aren't all beige and look a bit more like a fancy suit.

 

Edit: Anyone looking for more confirmation and not just my word-of-mouth, I know I saw it in this topic. Sadly, can't remember the exact page where the tweet was linked, but I think it was in the late 20s-early 30s pages.

Side note, I was reading, uh, literature earlier... it was most definitely not shameless Zev/Alistair smut ... when out of nowhere a secondary pairing popped up and it was... Aeducan/Leliana! That part wasn't smut, just silly lovely background fluff (I mean, seriously ADORABLE) but it was such a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting it because it wasn't in the tags, and you hardly ever see dwarf Wardens just randomly show up like that in fic, and ahh it just made my heart feel all warm and fuzzy.

To be honest i don't know exactly i simply started the game and after ~10 minutes i was in the confirmation screen

It seems that i was struck by some magical impulse which in my case happens often ^^

Haha, appreciated though I didn't take it as you doubting me, personally. I just put the link there for anyone who would want to verify it more though, or see more details, because it's understandable to want to doublecheck.

 

@Kipp: Though I love me some beards, I like the idea of a more "humany" groomed dwarf since they'd likely be more culturally familiar with humans than with Orzammar. Nice take on a surface dwarf.

Thanks That was my goal and i'm pretty happy with the results (i'm a person who spend at best max 15 minutes in character creator and i never restart the game, so i had only one chance to do everything right ^^)

Haven't tried the CheatEngine thing yet, but the DA modders are getting so close to texture replacement mods. They already have a rudimentary beta tool you can use to replace textures, and someone posted a texture for the Skyhold jammies, so I had to do it. (My graphics are still borked so I had to leave Skyhold to get a decent pic of the jams in a cutscene, but this is the Skyhold outfit, colored black)

And then I managed to capture something amusing... Originally, I captured this to show an amusing physics glitch that keeps happening with this armor after I use certain attacks; it gets stuck upright like this until I hop. But, after taking it I also noticed the book of the Venatori I'd just killed is still floating in the air to the left.

I am actually curious which romance to go for my brosca. I am thinking of Lelianna, not sure how being a dwarf changes the romances in origins.

I've romanced Alistair and Zev with dwarves, but not Lel. There are some unique lines for Lel with an elf, so there might be some for her and a dwarf.

I actually know a few people who romance Leliana with a (usually female if I recall) Aeducan. I guess they both have the common ground of having been stabbed in the back, marked a traitor, and forced to flee that people like.

I'm always going to be a fem!Mahariel/Leliana sort myself, but I guess I can see it. :S

I think she's the only one who gets the "kneeling kiss" for dwarves, which is really sweet. And personally I think romancing her makes the whole Schmooples thing 100 times cuter, but that's just me.

Oh, I can definitely see it! Either betrayal (if you got duped) or redemption (if you killed Trian), familiarity with political intrigue and backstabbing nobles... they have much in common.

Ohh, me too! My Tabris is currently romancing Zevran. They're chillin' in the Landsmeet 'cause I can't decide how I want that playthrough to end, lol.

But Zev and Brosca would make a great couple, I think. They both know what it's like to have no power over your own life, basically "kill people or we kill you"... they're both looked down on, for being casteless and being an elf... it works!

Yes, he was. He died before the comics take place and is only seen in flashbacks/the Fade. I don't think they mention how he died, though. Been a while since I read them. Maevaris is introduced partly because she's a contact of Varric's, and they know each other because she was Thorold's partner (can't remember if they were actually married?)

 

And oh yes, I adore Maevaris. I was giddy when she made a mention in the war table. Sad they couldn't fit more in, but maybe in the future, eh? I would love to actually see her in-game at some point in the series.
