No, dwarves can be Templars just fine. You even get dwarven related templar dialogue.

I was actually bummed you can't kill any of the birds in the game. I wanted to knock out a few, just for Shale's sake.

I rolled my first ever Dwarf for Inquisition and thought that the game did a terrific job of reflecting that choice.

Given how much I enjoyed the experience, I'm tempted to revisit Origins as a Dwarf commoner. Really enjoying seeing peoples Inquisitors - pls keep the pics coming peeps.

Hi guys! Long time no see!

 

I finally had time to finish the ball - and I'm happy to say that I'm again in love with both Merry and DA:I.

 

Why you ask - it's simple - I started to hunt dragons! I already killed the ones from Hinterlands (Blackwall did the dirty work) and Exalted Plains (it was all Merry hidding behind the rocks and shooting the beast - I had awesome time) Also I made myself a new bow (130 DPS, 105 DMG, +10 electricity dmg, +9% crictical chance, +16 cunning, +7 dexterity, +7,5% extra focus for each enemy within 8 meters) and new armor (167 armor, +3 cunning, +13% fire resistance, +40 maximum health, +5 willpower, +5% extra focus for each enemy within 8 meters). Right now I'm lvl 16 and I have 45% crictical chance and 74% critical damage bonus - not bad at all

 

Tempest is amazing for archers as long as you get advanced flask of fire and flask of lighting.

 

And Blackwall is fantastic LI - I love him and I wish he was real man He says all the right stuff and he can even dance! When after one of the fights he asked "Are you alright, love?" I screamed with delight. IMO Blackwall is the best male LI in Dragon Age series (he might be even better than Kaidan from ME series!) - mind that I haven't romanced Cullen yet (he has to wait for Julia).

I actually haven't watched any Cassandra or Josephine romance videos because I like finding out about the romances through you guys in this thread. I live vicariously through your enjoyment!

I've finally got the ball rolling on my second Cadash. I didn't feel right playing a non-dwarf on a Brosca import (think I already mentioned that, sorry) so I had to ponder how to make her feel different than my first. Picking different choices wasn't good enough. Inspiration struck in Haven when I was in the jail area, finally unlocking all those cells that I couldn't reach on my warrior. It was just more paperwork and as I found myself rifling through them, I realized that this was a realistic excuse to RP a dwarf that was knowledgeable about history (all the inquisition perks) and how things worked. (This was a bit difficult for me to rationalize on my first Cadash thug because it wasn't like she went to boarding school and studied up on all this -- I planned on skipping the lore perks when I rerolled her later on.)

More importantly, this is the part that makes my second Cadash so interesting to play. There's no specified age for the Inquisitor. They can be young or as old as we want, which is quite a change from the limited ranges that our Origin characters had. I picked one of the older complexions and started RPing her as dwarven Judi Dench, inspired by M from the James Bond movies. And she absolutely is taking advantage of telling people she's the Herald. I don't know if she believes in the Stone or Andraste yet. I've been avoiding that conversation with Josephine until I get a better feel. For now, it's just an illusion she's maintaining to grease the wheels and get stuff done.

Edit: Make-up because she's a well-groomed smooth talker. Like Puss in Boots.

Is it me or do dwarves look hilariously out of place during the dance with Gaspard's sister? Maybe it works for guys, but seeing Merry leading was just weird.

Thanks Thank god I have a job haha and my mate paid half :L But thank you once again With Stonehelm, it looks fine but haven't tried with a female yet. I can't bare myself to create another race....I just love dwarves way to much xD

Anyone else really curious to know what's up with both Solas and Cole seeming to imply to Varric that the Dwarves weren't always cut off from the Fade and something apparently happened in the past to permanently sever their connection?

Solas: Dwarves are the severed arm of a once mighty hero, lying in a pool of blood: Undirected, whatever skill at arms it had... gone forever. Although it might twitch to give the appearance of life, it will never dream.

Don't forget Sandal's comment that one day the magic will come back -- all of it -- and everything will be like it was.

About 2/3 of the way down this page of the Solas thread we starting about his "severed arm" comment. I wonder if the dwarves had magic back in ~4600 Ancient? Was it the arrival of humans that changed things, as it did for the elves? Or something to do with the dwarves' later relationship with the Imperium..?

Fun to think about.
