I've no idea if other folks would consider Nasir handsome and good-looking. He is to me, but that's me. :P

Spoiler

Nasir's eyes are definitely beautiful!

I'm not sure Fjalar is actually good looking either. He just, you know, doesn't entirely look like a potato, which was my biggest fear when I first entered the CC. I just suck with CCs in general, and the ones in the DA serie especially. :P

I wouldn't say Hella is like, traditionally beautiful or anything. I wanted her to be cute and kind of hipstery and have a personable face, and I think I got all of that, so I'm happy.

Hot dwarves are cool and all, but it's about building a character with flaws and interesting features and layered personalities...then they become all the dreamier for it.

I made an elf and named her The Sexy One (Thesone for short) and tried to make her the most attractive character ever (erm this was part of a joke but she became a real character I am bad a making joke characters and then crying over them) and she's very attractive! But I'll take Hella's appearance over hers any day, tbh.

Found some armour that goes with my hair! :P It is worth wandering around the hinterlands after all (actually I rather enjoy the hinterlands, nice to look at while you do, unlike hissing wastes)

1H more fun now I've unlocked shield bash too

I was going for attractive, but scarred and tough, and hopefully about mid-30s. Dunno if I quite pull it off, some photos she looks a little too cute :P

I think she looks awesome. It's hard to get that 30s look...fresh faced or 40s-50s or cranky grandma (OMG that'd be awesome actually WOA MAYBE I JUST FOUND MY BULLMANCE DWARF???) are much easier, IMO.

I wouldn't call Dorn handsome per se, but I definitely don't think he's ugly. Regardless of what race I play, I try to go for what feels "interesting"; I do tend to favor darker skintones and hair, but I try to have some variety. I accidentally made him one shade darker than I'd originally intended, but liked it enough that it stuck:

Spoiler

What I really like about Dorn (aside from his nose, scar + break and all) are his eyes - they're kind of silvery with a coppery center, but most screenshots I take seem to take things darker than they are in game, so it's hard to show. I'll have to hunt around and see if I can find a good one that I can tweak the lighting on a bit.

This one kind of shows his eyes better, there's a scene with Cassandra I know that highlights it well, but it seems like I didn't catch a screenshot at the right moment for it. Ah well. This will work well enough:

Dorn's eyes are lovely.

LMAO, sandal, I just picture:

Frederick: Oh, thank god, I'm in my pajamas. This is a nightmare, isn't it? I'm in my pajamas and there's blood magic and the Wardens are acting bananas....oh phew, it's only a dream.

Solas: I am reasonably sure we are awake right now.

Frederick: NOOOOOOOOO

Ardris just became a champion lol

Currently questing.  Got some red masterwork armor, I found a GW sheild schematic, so I'm over the moon. I put some bloodstone into that, so it matches the armor

Grabbed the orelesian horse. I'll get pics up asap

It's good to be the champion LOL

I remember seeing that. It's part of the dialogue with Josephine early on when Cadash discusses religion with her. Here's a partial conversation:

Spoiler

Very interesting. Based on the conversation with Josephine, I didn't realize that humans knew so little about the Stone. How does Josephine react upon learning you were a full fledged BAMF for the carta?

Lots of stuttering, and then I selected the "But I'm hoping you like bad girls" option and she immediately goes into OH YES HRMM  I CAN SPIN THIS IN A GOOD DIRECTION OKAY and then you're like "...okay...but...I was hitting on you...."

It's cute.

(I think my other dwarf was all "don't judge me, you have no idea what it's like to be a casteless dwarf" and she felt bad)

To play as Xanthos Aeducan.... or to play as Nasir Cadash?

Decisions decisions, Origins or Inquisition? Or alternatively, work on my novel and hope to get closer to the Dwarves in it?

The entire conversation is too long to be typed up, but the first half focuses on those "question" types of conversations which basically talks about the Stone and whether Cadash believes in it or not. The other half of the conversation focuses on the Carta. I've put the transcript in spoilers for you to read.

tl:dr She's shocked. She has her work cut out for her with damage control.

So what are everyone's HOF's up to right now?

my Brosca, is probably an 'old soul' at this GW business.

Trust me, hearing all the Coryfish stuff coming out of Orlais is upsetting her. She just wants her quest to be over with, get back home to Zevran.

But the fight to free herself, Alistair, Bethany from the curse is a mighty compelling reason

You're amazing, Gilsa. So cool to read that, I haven't done all the options yet. I wish there had been more RP heavy convos like that. I always race for that convo because it's so much fun.

My Brosca is off finding a cure for the Calling, it seems. Which is actually a really interesting idea for me to play around with for her, because fear of death was a big part of her personal arc...although it was mostly resolved before she would have gone on that quest, I'm sure there's a lot going on there for her.

The only specific things I can think of are that she exiled Alistair but by this point she's found him and they've reconciled so he's with her...not sure if they are lovers again, but they are definitely close. She's got Sigrun, Oghren, Velanna and Nate with her and hopefully Anders made his way to her too.

I'm actually in the middle of writing an AU for her where she goes with Hawke instead of Loghain, so that's fun, although it won't be part of my canon PT mostly because I prefer to keep my ideas of what is "canon" confined to what can exist within the game world...or at least isn't refuted by it, but that's just me, I am so into the worlds my friends build that just reject canon completely, but it's not how I work. I have to add the AU to it, lmao, I'm more rigid than I like to admit.

My Surana Warden is anxious to reunite with Morrigan and his son, and hopefully will find some answers about the taint - or perhaps replicate what Avernus did for longevity, since he simply wants to live long enough to have a life with them. He's also wondering if Bhelen ever built that statute of him in Orzammar like he promised...

Yeah. Where IS the Awakenings crew anyways? Even if they all split up..... are they affected?

I like the concept of my Brosca/Valenna/Nataniel/ Sigrun!/Oghren, in my file I have Beth as a GW, off on a quest to cure themselves plus others from the Calling.

Speaking of which.... if the Calling getting into your head, hearing whispering of the darkspawn, all that...

Wouldn't that mean going back to Orzzamar, sucks? You're sitting on the nest of them PLUS that's where the Old Gods sleep.

When I headcanon my Brosca, Arianna, going there to visit Rica, her nephew, etc in the following years, I just imagine it as pure hell for her physical/mental state until she leaves.

Good to know! That'll definitely help my Nasir headcanons. So his boss wasn't just a Scrooge, but a violent one? Fits the image I had in mind of him.

So what are everyone's HOF's up to right now?

Well, I have 10 HoF in my headcanon'd world-state.

I'll talk strictly on the Dwarf ones though. Darius Brosca is Warden-Commander of Orzammar (technically a thaig outside of Orzammar and Bownammar, but the Deep Roads are too extensive for him to be WC of the DR).

Xanthos Aeducan is researching the Calling, but he does end up coming to Skyhold to help out when Nasir calls upon him. And he, along with Hawke and the Inquisition companions, are named Inquisitors all. But Hawke, Cadash, and Xanthos are the High Inquisitors, the ones who guide the Inquisition in the War Room.

I had actually thought Hawke would be named an Inquisitor alongside us (or at least grant us the option to choose) but BW never did that. I began to think that in my headcanon he would be. Then a person I follow on tumblr (I'm torn between naming her url because though I want her to have credit for the idea, as she was the first person I saw who thought it, I don't want to risk her getting people in her inbox attacking her world-state. Not that any of us here in the Dwarf thread would, but I would bet some other people on the BSN would see it and do so) started talking about it too and her personal Warden being named Inquisitor and I thought to myself "What would Xanthos do?"

and then I realized he'd head to Skyhold as well and her headcanon for her Warden was also what would happen for my Aeducan.

As for what he does after, mostly he continues to research the Calling with Avernus and the Architect sending him letters and notes and everything and he settles down back in Orzammar with Morrigan and Leliana, for the time being. He doesn't need to worry about being there all the time, as his wife Nerav Helmi -- who is Queen -- rules in his stead and makes decisions he would as well. But he does make sure he's never absent for more then is needed. Also because of the nature of that alliance (Avernus and the Architect and him), I don't really think he'd end up traveling the world on his own. At the very least once the letter reached him he'd head back, knowing full well the danger (mostly out of fear for his Warden friends).

I think he'd send a Dwarven expedition instead, seeing as he has full command over the army, being the king and all. And he'd point them to the last place he was at and where he was headed and everything.

I dunno. I have to give a lot of thought to the way my headcanon affects the world of Thedas. As of now I only have a few ideas tinkering around in my head, and with each installment I have even more and more to try and figure out.

That's awesome! I love the thought of Hawke/HOF/Quizzy all having some equal rank, each of them having their own job or something, working out of the war room.

10? Woooow. I think I have like....6 HOF's.....haven't playe Origins in a looooong time

I'm working on a thing.

Spoiler

Not sure yet how polished I'll make this, but still a ways to go either way. Man, feel so rusty at illustrating thanks to so much graphic design work last year and tendonitis... Feels good to do more sketching, but also annoying because I get nitpicky, heh.

Dorn's response to Josie's questions was along the lines of "don't judge" though he was a caravan guard, I just don't think he'd be quite that blunt in detail without knowing her that well yet. I do love the variety of answers they offer in the background questions, leaves a lot of room for roleplaying and extra detailing.

My canon HoF is Amell and he's off looking for the Calling cure and waiting for Leliana to join him; I imagine my Brosca is also looking into the Calling, but also making a lot more side trips to brothels and sending little trinkets as gifts back for his nephew in Orzammar. :P

To be precise, when I say 10 I mean they exist in the same world, rather then each a separate story playthrough. That is to say, my Aeducan led those other Wardens. Which is why I say it's a headcanon, since it's not possible unless I do extensive modding to Origins to allow for more companions.

And yeah, when I thought on that headcanon said person had I thought "It does make the most sense, considering what the story entailed. Darkspawn, the Mage-Templar War, and a world gone mad. Origins, DAII, and a desire for order bringing about an old coalition."
