I have NO clue weather or not Xavier will romance Josie or Cass

They both fit his personality so well

I'm the same currently, Skraal is starting to care about more than himself a bit more and both Josie and Cass have been a bit of an inspiration for him. Blackwall as well so he'll probably end up a champion.

My female elf got Cullen... I think there was banter....can't remember....

Xavier is gonna romance Cass, because what's not to love about that?

Nice!  Is that the cowboy hat?  My guy never takes that thing off, well except when mandatory in cutscenes.

Correct, I did want to be using the battlemage cowl originally but his ears clip through the sides slightly, so hat it is and maybe the quizzy helm eventually.

I would use that hat on my characters more, but the cap thingy under it bothers me.

There's a mod now to make it slightly less obnoxious, but still.

My dwarf wore her cowboy hat from the moment she killed the Crestwood dragon all the way through to the end of the game. She made them for Dorian and Varric, too! (Blackwall got to wear the Inquisitor helmet, although I'm sure he'd look stylish in the cowboy hat.)

Yeah, I wish it wasn't there, but looking like a Dwarven cowboy with a rogue trench coat is too good for me to pass up.

Yup the skullcap can suck and will probably be why I swap over to the helm when I get it. Unfortunately most helms I have seen that show the glory of beard (I love Blackwalls chat about stealing all the beards) either have the awful skull cap or clip somewhere.

Divine Justinia:  'It is a demon that feeds upon fear and terror. It consumes the nightmares that you forget upon waking. Evil. Nasty. Horrible. Terribad. etc.'

Frederick:  'Uh, yeah... Divine, spirit, lady...thingy...."

Divine Justinia:  "Yes?"

Frederick:  "What are these 'nightmares' you speak of?"

Divine Justinia:  .........

If Josephine is romanced, does it get acknowledged in the party or war table banter? (Wondering the same thing about Cullen, too, actually.)

For Cullen, there's one mild tease by Leliana to Cullen at the war table, Dorian and Sera have a comment about him, I feel like there's one more, but I can't recall it right now. I'm not sure about Josephine.

Edit: actually someone's commented that Cass's dialogue with you during Cullen's Perseverance quest is slightly different if you're romancing him.

Think this is why I'm going with Cass's romance to begin with, it feels like it has a bit more promise lol

I was thinking about something… will we ever be able to play a "traditional" dwarf? In order to play one, we must be bind by the walls of the Dwarven city or at least traveling around nearby the city limitation for trading and stuff. Unless the ruler send us out to investigate, and there we get to decide if we want to embrace our culture or the surface way of life. I'm curious what others think about this….

I got an Xbox Controller for my PC and to learn the controls, I went through a new game tutorial, so I figured that would be a fun time to try to make a cranky grandma mob boss.

Here's Stonewall "Granny" Cadash...mob boss, old school sword and boarder, not impressed by this Fade Rift business, just wants to get home to smash in some thug's heads and spoil her grandbabies. Wish the game supported that style of character more, but even Sumalee's voice sounds so young and the PC has to feel more timid and deferential than I'd like for ole Stonewall, so Idk if I'll go much further, haha.

( poor textures are from my graphics card being broken)

Thank you, and I'm sorry it came to a temp ban. As others said, we'll be delighted to discuss dwarves and everything related to that with you.

Thanks. Well, I do like the dwarves.. if I were to adopt Sera's words.. when they're "dwarfy". Same with "Qun-y" Qunari (well, I don't like these Qunari per se.. but find them interesting). Otherwise, they just come off like trying too much to be like humans. All the benefits of being different and unique, but being the hip guy/gal who talks like everyone else anyways, and adept at human culture and it's trappings. This is cool every so often (like with Varric.. and now Bull), but I prefer not too much of it. People rightly say "Why play just humans in a multi-race world?". But I also say "Why play these races if they just try to be like humans?"

I think DAO did dwarves better. At least you get to experience a different world they live in for awhile. I always see the dwarf warden as cool as the others... and the Aeducan maybe even better than most. Since they are a Commander right away (and besides Dalish, the only Warden with experience with darkspawn). And as I've said before, I'd love to see a dwarf centric game. I don't know if they'll do that though.

Alright everyone, I'd like to thank you all for contributing, but the thread has officially been won by veeia on behalf of Stonewall "Granny" Cadash.  You can all go home.  Thanks for your participation.  It will not get any damn cooler than this, so we might as well all stop now while we're ahead.

All joking aside, can we PLEASE get Granny as an NPC companion in DA 4?  PLEASE!?!?  I simply must get to experience this woman on my own.

Hrm, I don't think a dwarf centric game has a chance in hell of happening. I would really love a game with strong dwarven side content (like Origins) or even dwarf heavy DLC for DA:I.

That would work. I heard that Gaider was musing on tapping more into the elves again though. I guess it makes sense, given where things leave off.

Krem, Harding, Mother Giselle (trans lesbian Giselle that is) a gay Qunari KISA, Sigrun, Stonewall "Granny" Cadash and uh, I guess an elf and another human. That's the da4 I want.

A Kal Sharok centric DLC or side story in da4 is my best bet for meaningful dwarf content, and also what I've wanted for years sooooo *crosses fingers*

It would be interesting to see how different it is from Orzammar. Or possibly creepier, given old ties to Tevinter... I think?

Kal Sharok is fascinating. They were isolated for hundreds of years and their culture, which came from the same roots as Orzammar's, evolved in a different way. We don't know too many details, other than they don't have the caste system that Orzammar does, and the way they identify paragons is really different. There's such potential there for dwarven conflict esp since it was Orzammar that shut them out. Their lives must be very different, and much harder in a lot of ways.... and there are some theories that their exposure to the taint changed them, although idk how much I want that to be. (Ie I don't want them to feel too alien, but of course, it's not my story)

Plus, yes, since it's resurfaced, the only meaningful contact it has had with the outside world is with Tevinter. Just a lot of cool ideas to play with.

Why were they only war table, Bioware you horrible teases!!!!

I'm not talking about a dwarven centric game, but an dwarven protagonist that can actually believe in the stone that make sense with his story. Cadash can claim he believes in the stone, but come on now. He's been on the surface most of his life, he either has to be atheist or believe in the Maker. I could understand Aeducan and Brosca, but even they were casteless, which is no better than a surface dwarf.

I would expect more golems too.

One thing about dwarves and magic.. they seem dangerously open to it. Probably because they're so resistant and insulated. So I think they tend not to know better when it comes to limits. While cultures with mages know the risks better firsthand (except Tevinter.. who embrace it). If their main exposure to magic is Tevinter, it could get weird.
