I'm not talking about a dwarven centric game, but an dwarven protagonist that can actually believe in the stone that make sense with his story. Cadash can claim he believes in the stone, but come on now. He's been on the surface most of his life, he either has to be atheist or believe in the Maker. I could understand Aeducan and Brosca, but even they were casteless, which is no better than a surface dwarf.

That could be doable in Tevinter, since dwarves there probably have all kinds of workarounds to allow them to be on the surface and still keep their caste. We already know the emissaries are underground for that reason, but considering the ones in power there might actually want to go the surface, I bet they'd make up all kinds of reasons why they could.
But I definitely did play my Brosca and Aeducan as still following the Stone. My Brosca in particular, because my story for her was that she was especially sensitive to the Stone even though she was supposed to be a "pollutant" to it.
