It was so weird to see him in the Urn off Sacred Ashes quest. I was really nice to ghost Leske.
I always do Paragon of her Kind after Urn, so I was nice to him. Then found out what he'd been doing since I left...

I wonder if our Cadash will meet other members of our family "Siblings/Cousins" in DAI because I am pretty sure he/she isnt the head of the family because no Head of a Dwarven Family would be spying at the peace talks someone less important would be.
Maybe we will meet the head of House Cadash at some point in DAI and it could be our Mother/Father.
What do you guys think?

Well supposedly, the carta that we're working with… our Cadash sees them as family. I was hoping that Shale would be in this one, but my dreams were crushed. Maybe Leliana will mention something about our relation with Shale. What if she our great-grandmother?
I think that'd be awesome. It'd be like The Godfather.
Yeah with Shale runing the family waging a war against all winged vermin lol. ![]()

I guess it will be cool if we get Brosca/Leske Bonds minus the betrayal of course with the Carta members.I will be severally dissapointed if Shales relation to Cadash isnt at least mentioned in DAI by either Leliana or by Cadash themselves.
Have a dwarf fem rogue for my DA:O/DA:A playthrough, though finding out some romances are racially locked, might not do a dwarf on my first playthrough.

I am gonna guess Cullen right? Or is it Solas?
My first Dwarf Inquisitor is gonna romance Josephine so I forsee alot of favortism Cullen & Leliana are gonna be pissed lol. ![]()
I hope there's some fun Carta/family interaction, though I have a pretty good idea that "fun" in this case could involve blood/knives/betrayals. I'm still planning a female dwarf warrior (Zhenya) for my first PT, romancing IB, unless Blackwall is too difficult to pass up.
Sadly, I think someone said that Shale won't make an appearance, though I wasn't clear if that excluded an appearance by a newly-returned-to-dwarf-form Shayle Cadash. I liked her in the first PT, and I like her more in every PT of DAO, especially if she's in my group, usually because she says the things you wish your Warden could say to people.
Ladies can have stubble!

I like it. Dwarves are known for their facial hair. Why not female dwarves as well?

Oh dear god she is hot as hell.

I never cared about playing a dwarf - ever! Until now....
This, however, makes me a wee bit sad I can't cuddle up with Varric.

I don't know how I feel about this...
Sure, Dwarven women having beards was fine in Tolkien, and it was never really made clear if it was true or just a wild rumour, since we never saw any dwarven women? I don't even see a problem with it at all, since it makes them stand out from the other races and it's a cool little racial quirk.
I guess my real issue is the Bioware devs saying, "screw it" and making that now a part of the Dragon Age lore as well. It seems really jarring and out of place? When they retconned the Qunari with horns, the handwave made sense because we only ever really saw Sten in Origins, along with a half-dozen other Qunari npcs and their entire race was meant to be shrouded in myth anyway?
But you'd think that if (some) Dwarf chicks had beards, this is something that'd have been mentioned way, way before this?
Dragon Age has been trying to get a hold of a more firm identity for it for a while now. I'm not surprised there are more changes that might retcon previous knowledge like the lyrium thing as well.
Eh, I wouldn't even call that a beard. just a stubble
Heck, I've seen real life women with stubbles longer than that
Doesn't seem lore-breaking to me
I mean, at least not as lore-breaking as many other things

I want fun of the "turns out our grandmother is the matriarch running the carta and she is so sad her little rock biscuit is slacking off in training to be the next Carta head to do this silly fade stuff with the humans. She just wants us to be taken care of when she's gone and also to make sure we know how to slit throats."

True, but minor retcons that are there to serve the story better are those that I can get behind, such as retconning Leliana and Anders' potential "deaths" in Origins and Awakening, because it served the story better to have them alive and play important roles in DA2 and Inquisition.
However, I can't see what giving the option for dwarven women to have stubble really adds to anything? And since Tolkien already did it in Lotr, doesn't this actually take away some of DA's own unique identity?
I dunno, on the one hand, it's kinda cool and a fun option if you want to have it, but on the other, we're given only a limited choice of stubble and not a full-on beard, so I'm kind of left wondering what's even the point of doing it, if you're not going to go the whole hog and give us a true, bearded woman?

All this talk of bearded ladies. I cannot help it.
