Screenshots of Blackwall without his beard got posted to tumblr. While it's not related to the dwarves, I thought it still might be interesting for some in this thread. I remember seeing conversations in here about how beards really only lined up well with certain face shapes in the CC. Maybe Blackwall's default faceshape falls along the same lines, too?

At first glance I wasn't a fan of the race. But after playing both origins in DA:O & playing the alchemist in DA:I multiplayer I am now. Would consider a romance but...that height thou! Then again....fun siiiiiizzzzzeeee
Well the size actually plays in favor of the dwarves, most people get cautious around short tempered, steel clad warrior who are basically at crotch level

I saw those in the Blackwall thread, Gilsa! It's unnatural, i tell you. ![]()
but that reminds me, another thing we talked about in the Blackwall thread that I don't think migrated over to here is that IN BLACKWALL'S VERY EARLY, PRELIMINARY CONCEPT ART HE WAS A DWARF. ![]()
I mean things change all the time, of course, and who knows what he was like at that stage of planning, but I'm cry thinking that we sort of maybe almost had a dwarven LI.
I'm headcanoning that he's half dwarf anyway and no one can stop me, NO ONE.

What!!!!!? We could've had another three dwarf party!!!!? But I would had needed a mage in my party, and besides Cassandra is a must in the party these days.

I would have done it at least a few times!!! Dwarf solidarity, yo!! Esp with Solas just to stick it to him. All your friend are dwarves, Solas, deal with it.
Lol that would had drove him to madness. He already thinks he knows what's best for the dwarves. Can you say triple-threat!! Well my Cadash probably would had agree with him. Help Kal-Sharok and Orzammar get on better terms. Just thinking about Blackwall as a dwarf with the same background, he would had made a unique kind of dwarf. We've only been exposed to dwarves with a certain kind of background. Orzammar traditional, Carta, and Merchants.Cadash will be unique, because whatever we were before, we're now the inquisition. This is why I want to read "The Last Flight, " because I heard that there's a Templar dwarf.

Blackwall's beard would of been fitted to his face, can guarantee any of the beards we get would be leaving gaps all over the place on him. It's like they only really tried on NPC's. Unique fitting beards and unique hair too, Blackwall and Varric have hairstyles I would kill to have access to compared to crap we get.

Made Eirlys Cadash *again* because I like the character creator too much.
Spoiler
I think her lipstick came out too green but she's even photogenic when screaming in pain so it's okay. xD
OK, she looks a LOT like my rogue, Reska (I think I accidentally posted her name as Nevidima before, forgetting I'd changed my mind on her name
)

Part of me is like:

Another part of me thinks we might have dodged a bullet because considering the amount of ire Blackwall gets for Revelations, we don't need the first dwarf LI making that kind of impression, ya know?

Duncan did said and many others that dwarves make for excellent wardens. I don't think that they're that resisted to the taint. But then again, Ruck down in the deep road seems to have survived for a while on the darkspawn blood or was he eating the spiders? Maybe the stone in the dwarves have something to do with that resistance, if that holds any water I suppose.
Now I'm kind of interesting in playing with my templar dwarf.
I don't think they're more resistant to the Taint, I always figured that they made for good Wardens because Dwarves have the most experience fighting darkspawn, have the most personal motivation to want to kill darkspawn, plus that with their Stone-sense, they're useful to have around to travel in the Deep Roads. A non-Dwarven Warden in the Deep Roads has to rely on maps and their Darkspawn-sense to avoid trouble, but a Dwarven Warden would be probably be able to navigate with less reliance on maps and find the right routes out of sheer intuition?

Just wondering, does the note from the HOF acknowledge the Inquisitor is a dwarf if the HOF is also a dwarf or at least a dwarf commoner?

Dang, this is making me even more tempted to go back and reroll my Cadash and go for a proper Dwarf-supremancy world state, rather than the Mage one I've had for my previous two playthroughs.
It's a pain, I don't know what it is, but my male Cadash is just not really clicking for me yet? Jon Curry's delivery is perfect, my Cadash looks awesome and he's a badass knife-wielding rogue, but... something seems to be missing?
Hmm, perhaps it's the romance thing that's bugging me. Usually my characters just sort of fall into place, as does who they're going to romance, but I'm having the hardest time trying to figure this guy out? I was thinking of romancing Josie, but I don't know, he doesn't seem like he'd be her type... nor do any of the others?
I might have to save him for Dorian, because I've not yet recruited him in Redcliffe and just about to reach that point, and I have the strangest feeling that these two would actually get along like a house on fire?
Hmm... now I just need to figure out the right party?

Well, I will always support Cadash/Dorian. That's what I'm doing now.
