I found most of them, but what do you mean your friends say opposite things? About what?

One says there's alot more than they expected, the other thought there was hardly any (though I should note they had previously played a dalish mage female...).

Thanks for the responses everyone. Im finding dwarves and their connection to lyrium all the more intriguing. Especially what Cole says. And the conversation with Dagna.

Also makes me wonder if dwarves could unlock greater powers if they experimented with different types of lyrium. Would it transform them over time? Would it cause them to have powers like a red templar? Ie growing lyrium ore and flinging it?

My head is running full of crazy ideas and where the future of the dwarves lay. Its a bit like the hints of qunari being of draconic descent in some form.

I want MOAR :D

Currently, yes.

How is it? I looked on youtube, but people seem to only like the hardcore sex scene.  :P

I like it fine actually. You can tell that they worked hard to be inclusive for all races so I definitely appreciate that they worked with the limitations.

The vibe that Iron Bull gives out is that he accepts the Inquisitor as is. The race is a complete non-issue for him. This is obvious with the crew he runs with. He's concerned about hurting the Inquisitor, but I don't think this is a dwarf specific issue. Everyone is short to him. The thing is that intimacy is a casual thing for Bull so the Inquisitor has to work at pushing the relationship to the next level. I laugh a lot more at their dialogue because there's no filter for what he's thinking. I would say he's similar to a Zevran romance when Zev gave a good time and didn't want to be forced into verbally defining the relationship even though you knew he loved the warden. Does that make sense?

One other thing that I like is that he's totally crazy about dragons and he thinks he's got dragon blood coursing through his veins, right? To play up this theme, I've got my pimping dragon throne out. My mount is a dragolisk. I'll walk around in armor made from dragonling scales. It's just silly fun and makes the character feel completely different from my first Cadash.

Yea I know what you mean. He wants fun out of the relationship, but then feelings started to get involved. I think I'm finally understanding the relationships in this game. Thanks, Gilsa.

I never held dislike of them, nor elves in general truth be told.

I don't think I've ever indicated otherwise.

We dwarves kind of just stay in the background, but not in my Thedas world. Hero of Ferelden and the Inquisitor are both dwarves that strives to be something that is greater than themselves.

King Bhelen is a dwarf, King Bhelen is the greatest ****ing monarch in thedas.

Step 1) Make the man Immortal, cough up your secrets Flemeth and Zathrien! Or at least we draw the guys life out a couple hundred years like Avernus.

Step 2) All Thedas submits to the rule of King Bhelen

Step 3) All of thedas's problems are solved

He will bend like the rest.

Probably pretty easily too.

He's sensible.

Lord Harrowmont wasn't exactly a good choice as King, either. He was set in on traditions while Bhelen wanted to change the way the Orzammar dwarves are living. Bhelen isn't a fool. He tricked both of his brothers, so I don't think he would bend that easily.

And remember when I posted screenshots of a dwarven throne I found in Valammar and speculated that it'd be the design we'd use at Skyhold if they gave us one? I couldn't tell if it was a flower pot under the sun or maybe lyrium smoke or something. It's only with that in mind that I did a double take when I saw what was sitting on the throne in one of the caves. Coincidence? Symbolism?

How strange. Did any dialogue trigger when you came across this curiosity?

Probably not, but there should had been more dialogue in Valammar and The Hissing Wastes. Even on the Storm Coast, which I remember the devs was talking about the dwarven statues there. I remember in the tralier with two dwarves walking across a bridge with the legion of dead armor on, which was at Valammar. Maybe there was suppose to be more going on at that place....

Hello everyone! How have you all found the dwarf specific responses in the game?
i have two friends who have played as dwarven inquisitors and both say opposite things.

My dwarven universal reply:

- Tonite U'll B mine girl.

I have not seen that character at all. How funny!

Spent some time in Hissing Wastes today. I took Cole instead of Varric because I figured that Cole being a weird spirit, he'd have some insight with the dwarven stuff in the caves. Imagine my surprise when the commentary actually came from Iron Bull instead.

Iron Bull: "This stonework is old."

Iron Bull: "And I don't mean just a couple ages old. We're talking old."

Cadash: "How can you tell?"

Iron Bull: "You think we don't have dwarven ruins up in Par Vollen?"

Iron Bull: "My old tamassran saw this place, she'd rope it off until the scholars counted the grains in every block."

Those chairs, sans the creepy egg are located in a couple of ruins. You can see them in the Dwarven ruins in Crestwood too. What I did find interesting in those ruins though was this.

No. It was a room with random loot after unlocking the door. I only get commentaries when I complete the puzzles.

There may be some things not triggering right yet. But I think someone said one of the devs said there was about 30% of what they planned originally that wasn't included for one reason or another?

That egg looks really creepy. I wonder if it's there just as "decoration", or if it was really meant to be something more.

Do you think it represents some kind of darkspawn?

By the way, I finally managed to grab a couple of pictures of my Malika Cadash (the second screenshot isn't very flattering - she is quite pretty)

I have no idea, tbh. I'm still looking around in Hissing Waste to see if there are any more visual clues. For example, I heard that the mural in Solas' room changes as the game progresses. I never noticed that. So now I'm trying to look around more. The room had piles of skulls around the throne so it could have just been that one room being weird.

Malika is awesome. I love that shield. I'm a 2H warrior so when I saw how enormous that shield was, I went whoah, that's gonna be awesome for shield dwarves to carry.

I love high level equipment because it looks really cool, compared to the ugly stuff (shield and helmets) you get in the beginning. This shield is covers her from head to toe, basically.

With that creepy thing in the room, we can never know if they are supposed to be clues, or if it's the devs just going "hey, let's make this room super creepy by adding this thing here... and a few extra skulls for good measure"
