That's a well reasoned and awesome answer.

We can thank the Vylka Fenryka for that bit of insight.

The Wolves of Fenris have learned through experience that the effectiveness of an enemy's protection is proportionate to the efficacy of his weapons. This may be a deliberate design philosophy, but it is more usually a simple, instinctive consequence. An enemy may think 'I know it is possible for armour to be strong to X degree, because I am able to forge armour that strong; therefore I need to develop a weapon that can split armour of X degree, in case I ever encounter an opponent as well armoured as I know I can be.'

It does remind me that I am sad that there aren't any one handed hammers, such as http://baldursgate.w...wiki/Crom_Faeyrthat would'a been sweeeet.

No not really. I just want to have like the "faces" of the dwarven fans to put together.

Somebody will have to do the grumpy one. We all know that there is always a grumpy dwarf!

Thoryn will volunteer for that!

As I'll still have my warrior, just getting tired of being unkillable. I fight a dragon and my party dies I just shrug and keep on truckin. It doesn't exactly promote strategic gameplay. So this way it would be an easy tell between rogue and warrior. No hair and hair.

I keep telling people this, man but the magelings I'm friends with don't want to hear it  It's all "I can use this spell with that spell to kill stuff fast if I combine it w-"

"Yea, but can we talk about dat Guard tho?"

Doing my taxes while killing dragons saves me lots of time at home too. Gotta put it on nightmare to keep it somewhat interesting.

I kinda miss all the mauls from Origins, there's a few but they're all asymmetrical, I kinda liked the basic drum style ones?

I was hoping I could reach 100% magic resistance on my champion. The numbers were looking good, then I discovered there is an 80% resistance cap. BAH! Dragons are cakewalk, a whirlwind ring and a pommel strike ring I just chuck to the death on a dragon and start singing 'You spin me right round baby, right round, like a record baby right round, round, round.' and watch it die. With pommel strikes during cooldown, though hitting a dragon can some times suck with pommel strike, keeps missing! Argh. Effective but monotonous and I can't sit back with 100% magic resistance and laugh at those silly mages then I may as well go a more engaging playstyle.

I like the mauls in this game more I think, the last stand, the whale look great but alas they aren't available as schematics. but i was thinking like one handed hammers, I know it's moot you have maces I guess, but I always liked the look of a one handed war hammer more than a mace. that's just me though.

The only way to fight a dragon is to put down your weapons, don your ceremonial suit, power up your Ring of Pain and Dragon Rage and duke it out like proper gentlemen.

Face to face! Dragon Rage vs. dragon claws. Two enter, one leaves. B)

The only way to face a dragon is to go out with Cassandra and Iron Bull, plus with my s/s inquisitor. We'll literally eat that dragon alive! When your party enjoys and jokes about killing a dragon, that when you know they're the right people for the job. Cespar loves a good dragon fight, but only because he really wants to be able to brag with Bull and Lady Pentaghast about the fight.

The maul talk makes me nostalgic for DAO days. My canon dwarf carried a shield so she could use the Aeducan shield the entire game. The next noble I made was 2H specifically so Bhelen would give her Trian's maul as a reward for siding with him. When Duncan gave Brosca a weapon from Warden Foral Aeducan, I was all, "Wait, you didn't give my Aeducan anything! DUDE! THIS IS FAMILY STUFF." *glare at Brosca*

I posted some screenshots of my Cadash a couple pages back, but not gonna lie, I'm a bit obsessed with how adorable she is. So here's a few more screenshots of Marni.

Overheard in Val Royeaux:

Dwarf female: "You know, I met Madame de Fer once. Years ago, at an Imperial ball."
Human male: "Impressive. Did she say anything to you?"
Dwarf female: "She said I was short, and she patted me on the head."
Human male: "I ... suppose that's something."

I heard that there is people that talks about your romance in Val Royeaux. The one I heard was about Cassandra and an human inquisitor. They people supposedly mentions how they were both nobles and was perfect together. Now I'm wondering what they would say about Cassandra and Cadash.

I've heard them talk about Cassandra in regards to her candidacy in the Divine and I've heard them talk about Dorian being a Tevinter, but not in a bad way. The dwarf/human combo also talked about Sera and the Red Jenny for a bit. I haven't heard anything else, but the dwarf/human combo eventually started commenting "oh, look, here comes the Inquisitor again, yay!" because I kept circling around for the conversations. It was cute. I will pay attention to any romance dialogue. This is news to me.

The two people next to Varric talks about a Cassandra/Human inquisitor, than you go to Val Royeaux and heard it been discussed more. I heard it happens right after the romance scene, but they talk about everything but the romance. This would be new dwarven content I get to hear about. I know that you have to leave the area and then come back to trigger new banter between people.

Besides, people in Val Royeaux, especially nobles like to gossip about the latest news, so that doesn't really surprise me!  :P

Well now that we have Grumpy we need Doc, Sneezy, Happy, Dopey, and all the rest.

Also, Cespar, here's Xanthos Aeducan:

Spoiler

I can try to take certain types of pictures if I have a general idea of what we're going for, since Origins doesn't really have as much cinematic stuff as the later games.

As for Nasir, I'll post various kinds. Pick whichever one you like the most, as I have a lot of them:

Spoiler

I suppose that should do... for now. Like I said, I have a lot of pictures. And the more I posted one the more I wanted to post another.

New Banter I  got with Cole for taking him with me to the  flooded underground cave in Crestwood.

Cadash: The nugs seem to like it down here.

Cole: Its quiet. The nugs like the quiet.

Cole: Nugs don't remember the dwarves.

Cole: Dwarves don't remember the dwarves.

Cadash: Are you saying I can't recall myself?

Cole Sorry.

I got that dialogue once but I also had Solas in the party as well. He chimed in with something to add about the nugs liking it down there. Nothing special, just an additional line in regards to this dialogue banter.
