Perfet party
Can I have 9 companions and 3 advisors? Just limiting myself to 3 would be heart breaking.
So very true, it makes you wonder what the game would have been like without the Iron Bull romance?
Because let's be honest, when you give us a giant, horned, grey-skinned, one-eyed dude who's bisexual and his entire romance consists of BDSM scenes, then it really makes you question how can anyone can still judge those of us who beg the devs for a dwarven romance as just having a "weird fetish", when Riding the Bull was an entire romance built on Fetish Fuel and people loved it!
No s**t. Where do they get fetish out of simply being shorter, heavier, and badass? Not to mention how much ideas of beauty vary from culture to culture and over time.
Honestly, if they were going to put in the resources to make a second male NPC romanceable to female dwarves at the last minute, I'd much have preferred Cullen's which is far more respectful and presumably has a broader appeal. I wouldn't have let the BDSM stop me from romancing IB, but his ultimatum approach to starting the romance slams that door shut for me.
So if you were going to pick your dream team of dwarven companions and pcs from all games and expansions who would you go for?
And yes Shale counts.
Shale would be at the top of my list (I so want to meet the de-golemed Shale,) with Harding. Hmm, a third one for a party, that's tough. Sigrun, I think. I like Varric, but he's too attached to Hawke and Bianca to make a good companion to someone else, and he's the only male dwarf we see in combat much except maybe the commander of the Legion of the Dead from DAO.
It's a fetish because by modern western society being short, stocky or hairy is generally considered gross.
It's funny how much I have seen some people get up in arms about a male Cadash romancing a human LI yet those same people think romancing Harding would be awesome. Oh we want your cute adorable snarky women, but your men... yeah keep them away from our women. Apparently going for a shorter guy is beneath a woman but a guy going for a shorter girl is par for the course.

Too true, but there's no fetish about it, just people being too obsessed with marketing images. At least they got the female Adaar-Blackwall heights right and didn't take the lazy way out by shrinking her to his height. For all their perceptions that people really want/prefer the artificial Hollywood images, I know lots of women and men who are fine with the height differential either way, and if hairy men bothered women, my ex-husband wouldn't have a string of exes ![]()
Ooh a dwarven party!
Rogues: Sigrun, Varric & Harding
Warriors: Oghren, Shale & Kardol
"Mages": Dagna, Dworkin & Temmerin
That was fun n_n
Oh, I have a question, for anybody here who also reads the Dragon Age books - does anybody else think we should have a dwarven protagonist (male or female, doesn't matter) in the next one? I mean we've had many human and elf lead characters and POV but no dwarves as of yet... very sad ;_; some variety would be nice! Perhaps a novel about the first blight and how heavily it affected the dwarven empire, told from the POV of a dwarf who becomes one of the first grey wardens? ... just an idea. ![]()
Very true, it is more the vocal minority that arc up and are noticed than the content majority. I haven't seen any of the Adaar-Blackwall scenes but it is good they did better than origins with height differences. I've only noticed a few odd scenes with Cadash, like Cassandra cutting out bindings, we are as tall as her
, but a good attention to detail for the most part. And as you pointed out Tishina, everyone is different and has different tastes, just those less accepting are generally more vocal as they get outraged something doesn't fit their standards.

Same. I think Nasir's a bit smitten with Odette. Or Xanthos Aeducan is. Or both.

And thanks! It's such a giant pile of assorted things, but I'm fond of it especially for the VHD bit. And yes, one can never have too much Merrill. Moreso since she has been vindicated in her beliefs ![]()

Or maybe the chronicles of god-king Oghren.
Shale wandering the land slaughtering pigeons all alone after Asunder would also be cool. Shale was awesome is asunder her banter with wynne had me in stitches.
All hail god-king Oghren and his golden chariot of noble steeds mabari!

I cannot argue with such flawlessness. It must be done.

Only if he has a moment where he stumbles upon a ragtag bunch of misfits and he's drunk and naked, riding a gorilla, and cleaving Darkspawn in two with his trusty battleaxe.
