Hae Origins UE for PC. Keep says I ae my PS4/PC registere lol.
If I replay Origins, will my PC go into te Keep?
Got an urge to make a new Brosa LOL
As far as I know, as long as you are playing while logged into the same Origin account, the Keep will record your Wardens no matter if they're played on different systems.
So if you were going to pick your dream team of dwarven companions and pcs from all games and expansions who would you go for?
And yes Shale counts.
Noble/warrior caste: Gorim (shield warrior) so he can follow me around and call me "My Lady." (That's who Blackwall was actually reminding me of when he'd say that to Cadash.)
Commoner: Sigrun (rogue) for her upbeat and matter-of-fact attitude.
Surfacer: Varric (rogue) because he likes everybody and will find a way to get along with them or help them out.
(And me, whatever class I pick!)
With all three types represented, these will make for some pretty interesting conversations. =p
And as for the Adaar/Blackwall romance scenes, there are several height problems, which is probably more immersion breaking than the dwarven ones. Check out the kiss at the 1:50 mark:
I'm not an animator and don't know how hard their jobs are, but these scenes would play out a lot better if they didn't look like they were trying to hammer a square peg in a round hole and make it fit for all the races.
And finally, in regards to the fetish conversation, it's something I've been observing silently over the past week or so. I find that people who bring up the "Gaider said it's a fetish!" argument are either missing DG's original point or they twist it to suit their own purposes, all without even including a link to the quote. Romancing other races is not a fetish if you're interested in their culture, who they are. It is a fetish if it's solely based on physical appearance. Here is a link to David Gaider's original comments (add this to your bookmarks): http://forum.bioware...d-li/?bioware=1
If someone keeps insisting that romancing non-human races is still a fetish "because DG said so," feel free to point out that Tali was Gaider's romance on Mass Effect (he said as much on the tumblr blog) so the use of that word isn't going to mean what they want it to mean.

The only people that keep mentioning the fetish thing are the people in the Cassandra's fan thread, because I really haven't seeing anyone else say anything about that. I think the fetish thing came before inquisition was release, and a little after the qunari was announced. I remember a thread asking for a female qunari LI for their male qunari and that was when the fetish thing started. It was with a qunari, and not the other races, so I think that people are assuming it with the other races by default
I've always gotten myself up too and passed "Here Lies The Abyss" but I keep making new characters, plus work keeps getting in the way. (Not this time, I love Farin) I know that, at a certain part we have to make a choice :/ This time around, with the world state that I have imported; the choice is even harder now and I am now going to be faced with a new dilemma
Spoiler
Before I know that we have to pick between Stroud or Hawke but with my world state; my female dwarf and Alistair remaine together and stayed with the grey wardens. I know that, when I start "Here Lies The Abyss"; that choice will be between Alistair and Hawke. I can't allow either of them to sacrifice themselves because they were both my bros back in the day but also Varric's BFF....what to do or what to do.
- I don't have a romanced-Alistair-as-GW-import, but I did ponder this question myself as if I was in this situation, too. I would pick Alistair because my dwarf characters simply take priority over my human characters. (Sorry, Hawkes.) And Alistair can't catch a break in his other incarnations. Romanced Alistair ought go as far as he can go and live the dream.
- However, this is just speculation, but people have said that you don't actually see them die in the Fade. Possible they're just trapped in there and we don't know their fate yet.
- And Aimo, the artist known for her Alistair + Aeducan pairing, chose Alistair over her Hawke, too.
- Can give Varric a comfort-hug. That guy is a big teddy bear and I love him for caring that much. I did read that his approval changes based on Hawke/GW. For example, if you sacrifice Hawke and banish GW, he approves. If you sacrifice Hawke and keep GW, he disapproves. I haven't tested this out so I can't say for sure.
- Are we likely to see Alistair again in a cameo in the next game? As a King? Grey Warden? Probably. Hawke? Dunno. Warden isn't likely to show up either. Hawke's love interest isn't likely to show up either (Fenris, Anders, Isabella, and so on). Alistair just has a bigger potential since his role is so large. Considering the drama we see happening in the epilogue regarding the Grey Wardens, I would be surprised if they don't come back being very important in a later game. Do you want to hold on to the opportunity to see a senior Grey Warden Alistair show up and work with our next protagonist? (This possibility is going to be why I'm going to save Loghain instead of Hawke on my third game.)

Spoiler
As much as I hate Loghain....he would be a great leader for the GW's in the next game or something but ugh! this choice haha Hmm......I'll pick Alistair and I'm going to have the GW's be part of my army with my Templars but I will give Varric a good Dwarven bro hug and hope that my approval goes up haha Thanks

Well, s**t, so they still took the cheap route and shrank her?? Apparently their animators are unable to visualize a kiss involving a taller woman still, other than whoever did the Cass romance (I should have expected it after SWtOR, sigh.) So much for my fem qunari romance with Blackwall. Guess I'll shift her to Josephine and romance him with a dwarf after all.
The dwarf grows taller during that exact same scene. It's just more jarring when it happens to a Qunari because of her Amazon stature. There are a couple other problematic areas where there are more shrinkages/growths, but overall the romance plays out fine. Dwarves get the condensed version when it comes to repeatable kisses or kissing when Revelations wraps up. (The human, elves, and qunari have the ability to stroke Blackwall's cheek, but dwarves don't.) The tradeoff is that we get the awesome Cadash-specific conversation with Blackwall. YMMV.
its less dwarves growing in the cutscene and more "they start floating an inch or 2 off the ground" for the dorian romance I pretty much pretend my guy is on his tiptoes when they kiss
the most noticeable "my dwarf aint even touching the ground" comes from this conversation with cass though
Gorim - male sword & shield warrior - Former Warrior Caste/Current Purveyor of "Fine Dwarven Goods straight from Orzammar!" (DA: O)
Rogues
Harding - female ranged rogue - Agent of the Inquisition (DA: I)
Sigrun - female dual wield rogue - Legion of the Dead/Grey Warden (DA: A)
Luka - female dual wield rogue - Agent of the Inquisition (DA: I)
Arcanists
Dworkin - male explosives expert - Lunatic/Freeloader at Vigils' Keep (DA: A)
Dagna - female enchanter - Agent of the Inquisition (DA: O/DA: A)
I know that my rogues are lady heavy, but I really love all three of them and couldn't see a justification for a fourth (male rogue) with those three badass ladies on the squad. Also, note that DA 2 is noticeably absent from list because the only decent dwarf in that game (besides Bodahn and Sandal) was Varric and he's earned a nice vacation.
@cuddlezarro -- Heh. I would have never noticed if you hadn't pointed that out, but that made me chuckle. The WORST height problem in the Blackwall romance, imo, is from 31:41 to 31:50 in this video (link starts at the time code for ya):
I would probably go God-King Oghren, shale, adal helmi (she has always seemed cool despite how little she has to do) and probably sigrun.
Damn that was harder than I thought when I asked the question xD
I almost added Adal Helmi to my list too! She really stood out to me in DA: O. She just seemed so effortless and cool. I ultimately cut her because I had too many warriors and she was a dual wield warrior, which they seem to have gotten rid of. She was a badass though. I liked her (and her relative Nerav, who I wish would have shown up in the Dwarf Noble origin because she seemed cool and totally a capable ally to Lord/Lady Aeducan).
Bah, forget the existing Dwarves, though some would be fun to have back. I want OUR Dwarves. Hella, Dorn, Frederick, Thoryn, Xanthos, Flint even Xavier and Nasir with their scary glowing eyes and even those I don't have names for Gilsa, Veeia and Cespars little bundles of fun.
Who needs mages when you got a legion of these blighters around.
Apologies if I missed someone.
If I had to pick a group of dwarven companions from past games for a new game, I would go with:
Warriors
Kardol - male sword & shield warrior - Legion of the Dead (DA: O)
Gorim - male sword & shield warrior - Former Warrior Caste/Current Purveyor of "Fine Dwarven Goods straight from Orzammar!" (DA: O)
Rogues
Harding - female ranged rogue - Agent of the Inquisition (DA: I)

If you are including explosive experts for Arcanists then Rocky from the Chargers could fit too.

Edit: Oh, that link is NSFW if you watch it past 31:50 -- it's leading up to the sex scene. Forgot about that.
Yes, that's pretty bad too, though not quite as noticeable as jarring as the qunari one. The stupid thing is that they write and design scenes for romances that they know are going to have those height differences and can't work that way, then just take a shortcut instead of changing that part for them. Though the qunari-Blackwall kiss should have been totally doable, the height difference isn't any more than many real life relationships.

As much as I like Varric, we need a new dwarf companion for the next DA game or expansion...or two. There's always been two elf companions in every DA game, time for the dwarves to get that treatment again, there's a lot more potential to be done with a dwarf companion considering how big and complex dwarf society is.

Am I blanking on someone? Who was the second elf companion in DAO? Or are you including the mage from DAA with Zevran? In that case, there actually were more options for dwarf companions in DAO-DAA since Oghren appeared in both, plus Sigrun in DAA, while the elves only appeared in one or the other. Of course, we have yet to have a female dwarf companion (looking at Harding and Dagna.)
