Oh yea! She was quite like by most. It was probably a tie between her and Anders.

If my dwarf could smile, I would be the happiest guy in the world.

I loved Nathaniel, he was a great character imo.

Then again I loved all the Awakening companions (except for Velanna. *shudder*)

Just got a really cool screen shot I felt like sharing. (Bonus: He's even in the Carta armor you get from that fetch quest in the Hinterlands.)

He's keep it trimmed because after looking at Dorian's impeccable stache, Cadash doesn't think he'd be into guys with chest beards.  B)

Hmm, I like! He's got my eye tattoos, though in a different color :P

I think you have a very good alternate dwarf look going there, actually. I can see a surface dwarf getting into shaving, especially when he has the face to carry it off.

I like him, Sigrun, and Justice the most. But I always got Justice last, so I could turn everyone into a warden.

I don't like Velanna, but she has a reason to be angry at humans.

PS:I always like how Sigrun was a fan of Brosca! He really told her to calm down, and that he was just like every dwarf out there. I just got my letter from Brosca, and I was happy to read it even more than usual.

Probably at some point tonight I'll peruse through them and see which ones are good enough to share. I also have an image or two of Darius I could share, though I may tinker around with it to get him closer to being what I think is right (as originally Darius was just a carbon copy of Xanthos because I wanted to see the DC origin and not deal with the CC -- this was years ago mind you).

Will need to possibly move pictures of Xanthos and Darius to over the weekend. Little brother got sick and he has an appointment tomorrow so I have to put stuff like DAO and forums and tumblr and stuffz on hold for the moment.

Sigrun was a lot of fun to be around, abd her banter with Oghren was really good, she's tne only one with Zevran to manage to shut him up.

It seems I am one of the few who liked Velanna, she showed a bit more of her good side as the game went on and she had great lines with both Oghren( the ladykiller of Orzammar) and Nathaniel (actually I found that those two could be quite the couple). Bit I guess I have a thing for elven women who can kick ass and carry their weight, I liked Athenril a lot in DA2 and I would have love to have her as a companion in Inquisition.

I like dwarves in DA because they are much more down to earth (under earth even :P ) than the other races, without connection to the Fade they see magic from a very practical point of view, they have a philosophy rather than a religion and they do not try to shove it down the other races respective throats. They have been enduring darkspawn attacks since darkspawns exist and managed to survive for centuries.

I think the writers managed to take the traditional fantasy dwarves and gave them a slight twist that make them very believable as underground race ( a bit like Terry Pratchett with the Discworld dwarves, especially in the Stone philosophy).

Speaking of Origins, is anyone else a little disappointed that the Lil Aeducan you had with Mardi didn't show up in Inquisition?

I really thought he would, at least in some brief cameo! Then again he'd only be 10-12 years old wouldn't he?

Heh, no. I hail from a country where you can find dwarves in real life!

Well... in allotment gardens... made from clay ... and rather unspectacular...

I have a feeling that most that we will get from him is a brief mention in banter.  The fact that only male DN's who slept with Mardy actually gave birth to him, means that it's probably only about 1-2% of all playthroughs that have him (dwarves were only 5% of DA:O playthroughs and that's counting DCs and female DNs and male DNs who didn't sleep with her).

It would be cool for him to at least get mentioned though.  My canon Warden slept with Mardy (even though he was gay) just to have a kid and get his family off of his back about producing an heir.  So in my world-state, there is a little Duncan Aeducan running around!

Those are gnomes. Don't ever compare the two near dwarves, they really don't like it...

"Do I look like I spend my entire day sitting around, fishing near lily ponds, watching my beard grow while I wear a dopey hat? No! I build giant stone bridges across rivers of lava, while cultivating facial hair that you could lose a badger in, whilst wearing a helmet!"

Gnomes are like bingo halls and dwarves are like biker bars...
