I haven't really checked out the women inquisitors cc, but I know that sometimes the skin color plus the complexion can make a character look old or young. At least for the male characters.

Yea I should had done something similar to you when it came to my first play-through. There were so many bugs on my first play-through, and I couldn't enjoy my dwarf like I wanted to, but Cespar this go around is turning out really well and to my liking, which has everything to do with all the patches. Lucky you got to play the game late! :D  :P

Yea the noble-hunters are really sad, and I wish I could had convinced Rita to do something better in her life, but at least she actually fell in love with the noble that she caught.

I think I worked out a combo that works better and I may have finally succeeded in getting one who looks over 40. But I really liked that particular skin tone. Now I'm thinking of some way for my Brosca to be related to my Cadash. Maybe Brosca's father ran for the surface to join a sister who'd gone there a few years earlier and married a Cadash, the mother of one of my IQs. That would put her about the right age for my preference, over 30, and cousin to a paragon.

I think Brosca's sister lucked out since Bhelan apparently adored her and even seems to have married her once Brosca was elevated to Paragon. As bad as it is, there are worse things than noble hunter, but yeah, if things hadn't worked out so well for Rica, Koshka would have dragged her back to Alistair's court and gotten her a position there.

Well that's good to hear! Yea it felt good to finally be able to make a actual black dwarf, instead of having that red looking skin. I support you in wanting your Brosca to be related to Cadash, but I wouldn't even want to think about them being related. The closest I would get to them knowing each other is probably working together on a Carta run or closing a deal, but that won't make sense for my characters, since Cespar Cadash is 25 in Inquisition, and Ces Brosca is 31 in inquisition.

I told Rita to come with me before I left with the wardens by force, because Brosca wanted to take over the Carta.

I have a feel that if anyone knew about Red Lyrium beforehand, it would have to be the wardens and dwarves. Wardens are always keeping things a secret, and if has anything to do the blight, taint, and deep road, then the warden aren't too far away.

Let's take into account that Anderfels will be the last point and the last place where there will be secrets.

Well, as I've said before, the Dwarves do seem to have covered up the existence of the PT and that had red lyrium all throughout it.

How?I think it would be the first place, since wardens live and die by the secret. (The ritual.)

Are you talking about dwarves in general? Kal-Sharok dwarves? Free marches dwarves?

At this point, I'm just making minor alterations to one of the stock faces and my graphics settings to see if I can find a combination that gives me 40+. This is starting to look close to me, any reactions?

Sometimes I consider making a dwarf, but the class options feel so limited. Sure, three of them are available but only one makes sense.

Dwarven warrior: What are you gonna do, stab the enemy's legs?

Dagger wielding rogue: Same issue.

Dwarven marksman: The only one that feels right. Shooting with a bow isn't limited by your body as much.

I think this is a perfect older lady. If I was to guess her age, I would say about around 45-50. :)

Dwarves aren't *that* short.

Spoiler

And they don't have tiny arms or anything either as you can see, so they have enough reach to be a warrior.

A lot of bow skill requires upper body strength... which dwarves clearly have.

Dual-wielding might be considered unusual (due to the interpretation of the rogue class being lithe and nimble, thus the sturdiness of dwarves seems out of place. I personally don't have a problem with dwarven rogues - I love playing dwarven rogues - but I can see why some people have an issue with it, like with qunari rogues) but again, it's not the issue of not being able to reach the enemy target.

I wish I could play a dwarven mage, though. That'd be fun.

Lol I could see it in their "why dwarves can't be warriors." Most dwarves are warriors, and my character comes to Cassandra's chest. :P.

Enough reach to pierce someone's ribcage?

The in game model seems shorter than the concept art suggests. And I mean, look at the elves there. We do know they're not the same height as humans.

As for pulling a bow string requiring strength... you could say that again. I thought it was easy, but I tried once and pulling it all the way back is ****** hard.

And once you do that, releasing it is even harder because you're already using all your strength to keep the string in position.

You gotta be fit to be an archer.

No, I just want to clear some questions before making up my mind on what race to pick next.

Some people need to grow up and learn that an opinion you don't like =\= trolling.

Cadash manage to stay focus at Cassandra's eyes, but every now and then, he must rest his neck from looking up at times. He's still a gentleman when it comes to Cassandra, but has a tendency of letting his bad boy ways out.  :P  :D

Slip a knife between the ribs? Stomach? The kidneys? Cut the hamstrings and when they're on their knees, slit their throat? Plenty of vulnerable spots exposed to dwarves with daggers.  B)

I love this! I like that instead of focusing on CassandraxFjalar together, you had Varric write a romantic book based on their relationship, which let us know that a person who doesn't enjoy writing romantic books, he was able to cough up a certain feeling inspired by this power couple.

In Cespar's defense, for someone to say they have difficulty imagining a dwarf as a warrior when that's their classical archetype *does* come off a wee bit trollish, but we're all on the same page now.  ^_^
