Who was it asking for my favourite Dwarf Origin? Or was it the one I was planning to introduce my Dwarf Inquisitor for? Anyway, her it is. My favourite dwarf playthrough would be my Dwarf Noble, Riina Aeducan.
She was the picture of dwarven political grace, easily outmaneuvering Dace and his ilk, but was (tragically) naive about family. Endrin was too soft on her I suppose. Anyway, she refused to believe the worst about Trian which means she got to see him dead, and then get accused for murder. And you know what the worst part about that was? She refused to believe it was her brother in the beginning. And then, quite silly of her, she forgived Bhelen. She thought he was forced into it, probably by other parties, thought that in order to get the crown, Bhelen did something she was sure he regretted.
This was helped by meeting Leliana, the love of her life. After all, life wasn't so bad as a Warden. She, of course, first visited the Circle Tower, meeting Gregoir, but, unfortunately, failing to save First Enchanter Irving. The templars let Wynne stay with her, however, a good bonus in Riina's opinion. Wynne was smart, resourceful and experienced from Ostagar. So, with some regret of her own, she travelled... home. Home, to Orzammar.
Mourning the loss of her father, but forcibly accepted in Orzammar, she met with her brother, and saw his bid for kingship. She truly believed Bhelen had little choice, and it turned out alright for her, hadn't it? Leliana loved her nug. So, she supported him in Orzammar, revealed that Harrowmont had double dealings to both parties, and then... visited the Shaperate. She discovered they were fakes. That Bhelen, again, would destroy people to get to the top. So, she supported Harrowmont covertly from then on, and crowned him, days later (at least I think it was days). She, fueled with anger and loss, supported Branka in saving the anvil, killing her new friend Shale in the process. In retaliation for crowning Harrowmont, Bhelen decided to attack, and she dealt the final blow against her own brother.
And slowly, she descended into madness. When Redcliffe was burning, she left to find the elves. They, obviously, weren't friendly, and while she gave them ironbark, their resoluteness to treat people like animals and refusal to see their own failings led to her siding with the wolves. Back to Redcliffe, she let Isolde sacrifice herself to save Connor, and then made her way to the Urn of Sacred Ashes.
Seeing that Kolgrim would do nothing to stop her if she helped, she decided to poison the Urn, but later had regrets to letting the madman loose. She killed him and his dragon, and then proceeded. She still, however, poisoned the Urn, seeing what kind of madness it caused in Kolgrim and the others. Poisoned, it should've had little more than no importance. Of course, Wynne and Leliana disagreed. Killing them, especially her lover, completed her depression. She killed Gentivi, praying that the madness of Andraste and her blasted Temple were never seen again.
At the landsmeet, she gave Alistair what he wanted, deciding that the humans should decide their own bloody politics. Anora was declared rightful Queen, and, truly believing it was for the best, Loghain became a Grey Warden. Having lost everyone, filled with regret, and despair, Riina refused the Dark Ritual, and, at the end of her story, contentedly walked into the abyss, killing the Archdemon.
