Am I the only person who's sad that the Dwarf boon has been wiped away and the game acts as if we didn't ask for help?
This is why we should kidnap the Fereldans and turn them into golems. The dog-lords will keep their promise one way or the other.

Bioware would deprive me of my fun, wouldn't they?
Those eyes! I love them
She looks really good

Guuuuuuyyyyyyssssss!
After months of making and scrapping, making and scrapping, I've finally, finally made my canon Inquisitor! The one who finally "feels" right.
Meet Shae! (A dual-wielding rogue)!
(So ridiculously in love with her omg)
Picture? I love the name Shae, btw.
The dwarf boon is like stabbing at a tide with two swords instead of one. T he tide comes in anyway aand both swords end up rusty.
Remember the epilogue were just rumors, and nothing to take to serious.
Except it was addressed in the game itself before the epilogue. Remember, Alistair and Anora vow to give the Dwarves aid, and Gorim even says that getting aid from the human lands will cinch our Paragon-hood.
I don't expect the full level of the boon to be adhered to in the games (headcanon's obviously different), in the sense that Bownammar is (nearly) retaken, but not casting the boon out with the bathwater would be nice as well.
Was it? I couldn't tell if I used up my boon in asking Anora to spare Alistair or if Harrowmont was blocking those forces from helping out. Thought it was just my world state or maybe it got overlooked with Harrowmont's demise. This game was elf heavy for good reasons. I think we might have our day of reckoning, especially if Kal-Sharok comes into play.
Varric and Solas' dialogue is the only thing we have to go off of, and their talks of how Orzammar's Dwarves are "too proud to ask for help" and how the Dwarves should "demand help from the surface lands" (even in a Bhelen/Aeducan or Brosca worldstate) suggests at this point that the boon isn't something Bioware will keep in play.
Since that's all I have to go off of, it is admittedly slim, but Varric has an extensive network of information (he even keeps Jerrik Dace as a contact) and we are traveling through Ferelden. Beyond that, the events of Amgarrak are canon (House Dace's soldiers keep House Helmi's soldiers out, and this also shows to me a point against Bhelen as a ruler.... but that's another topic for another day) so why the boon isn't addressed even a little bit makes me sad.
And worried.
Interesting curiosity. When talking to Old God Kieran, he mentions the titans. That might be an interesting backstory for the dwarves. I hope Bioware uses it, or something

I feel like that scene was part of the Epilogue, which means that was also part of the "not going to happen."
Which is a good thing for the people who supported Harrowmont, since he was killed off in the Epilogue.

Yes, the Dalish don't appear to have gotten a homeland out of it, the city elves may or may not have gotten their own bann, and I don't think the circle of magi was made independent in Ferelden (if you belonged to those origins). So the boons were more or less ret-conned out of existence...

They could be ret-conned again the other way around. Inquisition is set 10 year after DA:O, Ferelden after the Blight had to be rebuilt and during this period the events of Kirkwall took place, leading in turn to the mages/templars war that went global, it gives little time and chance for the events mentionned in the epilogue of DA:O to take place.
Or the wirter can pull a "Dallas" trick and the boons were just a dream. ![]()

Not my character :L It's LadyofClockWork7's character, I tried to quote her post by my phone failed at it ![]()
Anyone know a good build for Varric? and Iron Bull?

Don't forget how Briala can be referenced as the first noble elf even when a city elf became bann.

Still, the Dalish boon was in fact attempted in Ferelden (if Merrill is meeting with King Alistair, she asks him about it and he says it did happen and he wishes things had gone better), while the Magi boon is at least referenced as being declared (realistically I never expected that one to actually work out).
It just makes me a sad panda when we have no Dwarf boon.

True. Or even Teyrn of Gwaren/Arl of Amaranthine.

As far as I'm concerned it's legitimate content, because the games have assumed that if you played a Mage you got the Magi boon and if you played a Dalish Elf you got the Dalish boon, at least insofar as importing from DAO to DAII.
Can't say if DAI ever reacted to either of the two origins.

She'd be the first elven noble in Orlais being titled by the empress, orlesian nobles probably would not consider a Fereldan elven Bann as noble (they probably would not consider a human Bann as really noble anyway
)

Fair point indeed! The Orlesian nobility scoff at a Trevelyan noble, acting as if he's less then such.
Who isn't scoffing at by the orlesian nobility? It's a pastime of their
.
By the way here is a picture of Elrik in his latest fancy outfit, looking quite dashing
. I did mentioned earlier that he was somewhat a little bit vain when it come to his apparence
.

And here he is enjoying the feel of the gory remains of his enemies on his skin, crushing their bones under his steel caped boots (boots not displayed on the picture)

Right........I've done it again.....started a new character and this one, I love
He will be my main canon but I will also start Iggie over again (new design for her) At this moment of time...I'm finally happy with a character that I have made haha Here lies The Dwarf of "Old" Durin
"TANAR DÚRIN NÛR!"
Also, sorry if my images are big :/ Just want to spread the dwarf love haha My party will be Iron Bull, Varric and either Vive or Dorian, hope you like Durin ![]()

Love this guy! My dwarf would follow him to the end! ![]()

Yea I know what you mean, now. The other boons got their acknowledgement, while there was nothing said about the dwarven one. Maybe with a big dwarven story part, it would had been mentioned. We really haven't had a dwarf from Orzammar to give their opinion on the boom, while mages and dalish seems to be very important to the story at hand.
