Better than I expected, honestly. I always had trouble with archery in DAO, but she seems pretty bada** in this.

My Viconia is an archer/artificer, she's now level 24 and manage some damage output around 7500 with critical, with the special focus ability of an artificer and that easy to overlooked but so good Opportunity Knocks perk, you can do a tremendous amount of damage, I remember putting down the dragon in the Emerald graves in about 20secondes.

Question: As I keep thinking about redoing my DAO fanfic, I find myself in need of the months of the year in Thedas. Could someone list them here for me (both titles) and then roughly what each month would translate to in terms of our world?

There you go (the annum is a holiday it generally take place the first day of the month it falls in)the first name is the Tevinter name it is mostly used by scholars out of tevinter, the second name is the common name.
1st month: Verimensis / Wintermarch (Annum: First Day) january
2nd month: Pluitanis / Guardian (Annum: Wintersend)february
3rd month: Nubulis / Drakonis march
4th month: Eluviesta / Cloudreach april
5th month: Molioris / Bloomingtide (Annum: Summerday) may
6th month: Ferventis / Justinian june
7th month: Solis / Solace july
8th month: Matrinalis / August (Annum: All Soul's Day) august
9th month: Parvulis / Kingsway september
10th month: Frumentum / Harvestmere october
11th month: Umbralis / Firstfall (Annum : Satinalia) november
12th month: Cassus / Haring december

Each month last for 30 days. I might be wrong in the equivalence with our months as Wintersend is the holiday that marks the end of winter, so Wintermarch might be february.

I'm finding it pretty easy to disengage and lose aggro (particularly if you take the stealth ability,) you can move effectively while still shooting, and the damage seems to be good. I don't watch my damage numbers fly up very closely, but I know I saw a couple of her shots crit at over 1000 at level 10. I just got to Skyhold, so I can't say anything about the specialties yet. I run her with Cass, BW, and Viv.

 

Edit: And thank you! I was really happy with her appearance.

Oh, I forgot. I did "In Hushed Whispers" last night and when I got dropped into the future, the Legion of the Dead banner was right there on the wall in one of earliest rooms. I thought, "Well, that's random." I didn't notice it anywhere else in the castle. Or the entire game now that I think of it. Wouldn't that have been neat if we could use this banner for Skyhold?

I also have really great things to say about the archer dynamics in this game.  I didn't think I'd like it at all because I hated it in both DA: O and DA2.  But everything that Tishina says is totally true.  It's nice because it's such a unique play-style that it's refreshing when I come back to my archer.  I ended up going Tempest (and respec'd Sera as dual wield, so we weren't twinsies) and I'm liking it so far.  Pleasantly surprised.

I really enjoyed the archery in DAO, and a lot in DA2, but Inquisition has giving me a new perspective on the archery combat. I wasn't feeling it this time around, but Brosca and Hawke will always be well-trained in archery, even if I want to go back and play s/s with those characters.

After an ass-ton of thinking, I've decided my first Inky will be a dwarf. These awesome, big-eared, stumpy legged bastards are just oddly... irristable. Now to by a computer that can actually play this ****** game. (mine is dying )
